Third Person Perspective

chanhee was back in the luna's office, sitting on the couch and staring at the floor. she had to go speak to the chefs to prepare lunch for four today rather than three. when she came back, she pulled a chair over and sat in front of him. "nervous?" she asked. chanhee nodded and scratched the back of his nape. nervous was an understatement. he was about to have a sex ed class with his mates mom. that's just awkward. but he also knew that what she was going ti say was going to happen to him and that would mean opening a whole new world of adventures for him and younghoon to live through.

"don't be" she said. "but i will say it gets a little...adult themed pretty quickly" she said with a chuckle. chanhee nodded and sat up straight to listen. "you've heard of the mating season, right?" she asked. chanhee nodded, remembering all the times that the pack basically went into shut down mode and all the minors and unmated wolves had to leave their homes if they lived with a mated couple for a whole week. "and you know that's fun time for the mates, right?" she asked, sounding like she was trying to keep it kid friendly. he blushed and nodded again.

"you will go into heat which means your body will produce more hormones and pheromones and you will feel a strong lust and desire for your mate as well as a yearning for their touch and presence. when you go into heat, it starts the mating season and every omega and beta goes into it. yes, betas go into mating season as well, they just don't have heats." she said. "i start it?" chanhee asked. "you're the luna, your heat will trigger the start of the season. even if the omegas and betas don't actually smell your scent, you will cause this sort of link between all of their heats and it'll turn on the switch for it." she explained.

"betas go into a mating seasons?" chanhee asked in disbelief. "yes. the ratio of pregnancy chance between omegas, betas, and alphas are drastic. a female alpha has a fifteen percent chance of pregnancy while males have zero. female betas have a fourty five while males have thirty. both female and male omegas have a ninety five percent chance of getting pregnant. does that mean you always get pregnant? no. it just means it is more likely that you will. me and my husband decided that after younghoon, we didn't want more pups. you and younghoon may decide that as well." she said.

"so my friends kevin and hyunjae can get pregnant?" he asked. she nodded with a shrug. "most beta males don't though because it requires a male alpha partner which is rarer for a their ranks and genders to be linked as mates." she said. "well my friend kevin is mates with my friend jacob and jacob is an alpha and hyunjae has an alpha mate and an omega mate but the omega isn't of age yet so he doesn't know. he's the only one in the friend group to not know" he said. "what are their names and how much younger is this omega?" she asked. "juyeon is the alpha, hyunjae is the beta, and eric is the omega. he's seventeen right now." chanhee said.

"i wish it wasn't in law to not tell an omega who their mate is ahead of time. i'd talk to my husband to give them an acception if it wasn't" she sighed. "but yes. if hyunjae and kevin's mate aren't safe, the betas could get pregnant. not as likely but it still could happen" she said. "and you will have to get pregnant. it doesn't mean it has to happen on your first heat, just in general. you have to have at least one pup" she said.

chanhee nodded, subconsciously putting his hand on his stomach. "now. preparation for your heat. your body will let you know a few days before your heat when it could occur. sometimes your body delays the warnings to an hour ahead but it could also happen a day or week ahead." she said. "you will need my help for the preparation. you will build your nest which will have clothing of your alphas. most of the time, omegas pick clothes they either get a strong scent from or clothes they've worn before. sometimes clothes that have a personal meaning to them, like what shirt was your alpha wearing when you first found out. in your case, he wasn't wearing one." she said.

"an omegas nest is basically their safe haven. the first time you make one is when your heat is about to start but then you make one whenever you want to feel close to your alpha. that could be if he's on a hunt and you miss him or he's in a meeting that you can't attend." she said. chanhee smiled at the thought of his nest. the feeling of always having younghoon beside him would probably become his second favorite thing other than actually having younghoon beside him.

"then the heat starts. then you need your alpha. your alpha is the only one who can cause for removal of pain because you will be in pain, i promise. because of the excess amount of hormone and pheromone production, your body goes into overdrive basically. you get a fever and you get intense pain in your lower region, aka the womb. and since it's tied to lust, desire, and a need for sexual attention and activity, your body will also have the affect it would have if you were just aroused, but times ten" she said. chanhee's ears turned red and knew this was the start of the adult themed talk.

"with this, you produce something called 'slick'. slick is a natural lubricant that you make and that is what sets the alpha into ruts. an alpha in rut is more dangerous and lethal than an angry alpha. they never intend harm but half the time, they could inflict it because the part of their mind that tells them to stop before it's too late actually shuts off and all that they can think of is pleasuring the omega. ruts are dangerous but an alpha in rut is kinda like someone who's drunk. it reflects their personality. since younghoon's personality is more on the caring side, sometimes like a child to some degree, he won't be as lethal or maybe not even dangerous. but a strong and power hungry alpha is deadly." she said.

chanhee, for some reason, never had fear of younghoon hurting him. he knew younghoon was gentle and caring and he knew that younghoon would never want to intentionally hurt someone if they never hurt him. sure he knew that younghoon has probably hurt rogues before but he had a duty and reason to do so. "you're thinking about younghoon, aren't you? are you scared of him?" she asked. "no." he said confidently. "perfect. you may not know it, but you have a hundred percent full trust in your alpha. you have officially given him every amount of loyalty and trust you could possibly give." she said. he shook his head with a smile. "i knew it since i found out he was my mate. sure i had a few doubts and negative thoughts that he would find my defect ugly but he didn't, so i know i have full trust in him" chanhee said.

"you've shown him?" she asked. "yeah. i just don't think i'm ready to take it off and keep it off yet. being bullied by the other pack mates all my life really put a self confidence decrease on me" he explained. she nodded with a proud smile. "showing him was probably the best thing you could've done for his childlike heart. he's just like a big baby. when he gets mad, he gets sulky. he's all pouts and smiles, rarely a frown on his face. at least not a genuinely pissed off frown. but if someone insults you, he could easily become genuinely angry" she said.

"mom, are you done? i'm hungry and the chef hasn't been letting me or dad eat yet" younghoon whined as he poked his head in to complain to his mom. "my point has been proven" she joked, making chanhee laugh and younghoon confused as he accepted chanhee's hug. he looked down at chanhee with the confused face, brows furrowed together. "don't worry about it" chanhee chuckled and patted younghoon's shlulder. the luna slipped past them and went to the kitchen.

"well, are you coming?" chanhee asked, turning to the alpha. younghoon smirked and nodded, picking chanhee up to carry him to the kitchen.
