Narrator's POV

Ran went to work, as for her, she sat there, she was so tired.

So tired of their relationship, She found out in the news that, Ran and a beautiful young woman is going to get married.

For years, since the day Ran proposed to her, she was waiting for their marriage, for her to finally be with him.

But in this scene, it seems like she was the other one, people liked both of them together, he smiled at her adoringly, a smile that he only witnessed in her younger years.

A smile that he swore, that he will only show to her, it's been years since Ran made a promise and build a house near the shore.

A private property that they- Ran bought to build a house away from society.

But it seems like this is the only way to distance himself to her, for her not to be known to others.

For her to live alone, inside the big house, She argued with him.

To let her out, for her to at least get out or maybe him spending time with her, to plan their marriage, but it seemed to be stopped.

How she wished to walk down the aisle, them holding hands, or for them to marry inside a church, to see their hardwork atleast.

But in those years, her chance of having a happy family slowly faded, while waiting for him.

Life is slowly eating her away.

She developed an illness called Leukemia, you can also call it blood cancer.

(I just searched this I don't guarantee this is true, because there are two kinds of blood cancer so yeah)

At first, she doesn't know, its just she started coughing and losing energy, then the coughing suddenly has blood, she doesn't have any energy to even atleast eat.

So she search for it, at first she believe it was just a coincidence.

Then the coincidence became more alike to the symptoms.

Then the day came when she just woke up and accepted the truth in front of her.

Until she finally gave up and just..... Let it embrace her.

Her body experienced different changes.

Her face started looking pale, she'll just wake up finding bruises on her body,
And she's getting fever often.

And once Ran came home, he saw her still asleep.

He approached her and kisses her forehead only to feel her burning.

So he took care of her, she wouldn't respond, she's just there, sleeping.

So for the fourth day she hasn't woke up, he called a female doctor that work near their location.

He can't risk rumors spreading around.

So he left her to the doctors care and went to work.

Preparing for his upcoming wedding.

[9 days later]

She successfully persuaded the doctor to not tell Ran her illness.

Telling the doctor that he's just a relative and don't want to give him another so called headache.

Cancer has no cure, but some expensive treatment can prolong life but in the end it's just a waste of money.

Why give up? When you can move on and atleast fight for him.

Well, cancer wasn't the only reason why she gave up.

Once she woke up, she learned that she had a miscarriage and is unable to give birth ever again,

And in the same day, she got confirmed to have leukemia and Is in the end stage of leukemia.

So she just sat on the bench, looking at the beautiful sunrise.

She was knitting a small baby clothes, she made and became her entertainment.

The house's furniture's are handmade by them, Even picture frames.

(Not really all furniture)

Her mouth felt dry, eyes dropping in the same time, the yarn fell.

The oxygen mask discarded beside her.

The doctor named Yuki silently cried behind her.

She felt her breath has been taken away.

She looked at the sun shining before her.

Lightening the vast sea, the see seems to be littered in stars as it's being shined.

Her head tilted to the side, feeling the warmth of the sun rays hitting her face.

Something that makes her feel warm and accompanied.

Her eyes went down to the little sweater she hasn't finished knitting.

And her eyes closed shut.

She opened her eyes, she saw that she had slept on the chair.

It's now winter she noticed, she felt herself covered in thick and warm clothes.

She glanced behind and saw Ran sitting inside watching the Tv.

She smiled.

' A dream? '

She rested her hand on her stomach, only to feel it bloated.

She looked at her stomach, she felt warm, she felt happy.

' baby.. '

She walked down the house to the snow covered sand.

She heard noises, she looked back to the house.

Seeing Ran, banging the glassdoor hard and mouthing something she can't piece together, she waved and smiled at him.

Stroking her belly, covering it more with the thick clothes as she smiled warmly.

' Im just gonna check this Ran..... I'll be back '

She thought.

Her instinct told her to keep going so she did and continued her journey.

Walking to the light up ahead.
