Tony's POV
I look for days, hacking through firewall after firewall but I can't find anything too suspicious...which is incredibly frustrating as I know he is up to something. Whenever you don't hear anything from the eye-patched prick it always means he's doing shit.
But as the days turn into weeks I still find nothing on Fury.
The weeks turn into months and Tony has now lost the motivation to keep looking, it's slowly driving him crazy.
After 4 months and on the verge of giving up I notice one thing...a location. A location in the middle of nowhere. So that's where I focus my attention.
After a few hours I learn that it's a rather large facility, but with the bare minimum of staff, less than 30 people operate out of here...
And no names are mentioned in any files either...
It's just redacted file after redacted file from a level 10 operative.
"Director Fury....wtf have you done". I mutter curiously to myself.
Steve POV
When I get a call from Tony of all people to say I was shocked would be an understatement. I almost didn't answer it, I mean why would I after what he's put my family through.
But he was quite insistent, so I agreed and informed him I would tell Bucky as well as it would be better coming from me.
He ends the call and I go to the gym on the floor I was on to tell Bucky about the meeting at noon, as I enter James is pounding away at a punching bag. The sweat pouring from his forhead.
"Buck!"
No response, so I walk closer...
"Bucky"
Nothing.
"BUCKY!"
He finally stops and turns to me, panting from exhaustion.
"Yeah?"
"Tony just called me"
His face visibly shifts into one of irritation and anger, he clearly isn't in the mood for Tony today. This should end well.
"What did he want?" He asks me.
I can clearly hear the irritation leaking through his voice, and I can honestly say it brings a smile to my face that him and myself are on the same level.
"There is a meeting at noon, Tony has found something Fury's been trying to hide and he wants to share it with us".
Bucky shakes his head and smiles as he answers.
"He should know better than to snoop around Fury's shit, he's gonna be pissed when he finds out Starks been investigating him again".
"I know, I can't wait for the blow out" I reply.
"It's gonna be amazing" he adds, and we both go to clean up before the meeting upstairs.
