Joong

"Yes deal. Oh I'm so happy. We are going to help each other. Wait I'm not going to plan too much or it'll get jinxed." He cheered enthusiastically.

Finally I looked at him, his eyes wondering over the clouds while mine on his face. His soft brown hair brushing forehead delicately, his long lashes casting a shadow under his eyes when he closed them, his nose standing in its full glory with light bouncing on it, his lips parted forming an o-shape. He was the portrait of a colorful rainbow shining in the sky.

As beautiful as the blue sky, as pure as the white clouds and as colorful as the rainbow. He was far away, out of reach and I that instant I knew thar I had spread my hand forward trying to hold him, just like a kid trying to reach a candy. He had entered my life as a storm but had stayed like a rainbow coloring my dull life.

He was not Mia and could never be. But he was Nine. The Nine who left his house to run for his dream. He was living. That day I was determined that if he could do this I could do, too. I would make an orphanage.

"Joong will you both return today only?" Pavel asked as we climbed down the trail.

"Yes we need to." I apologetically smiled at him.

"C'mon dude. Nine won't you stay too?" He now attacked Nine.

"I'll go wherever Joong goes." He replied simply not even sparing a glance at a smirking Pavel and a surprised me, behind him.

"Nine you are so ungrateful. I toured you around and you only like Joong?" Pavel continued teasing us.

"Oh no but Joong found me first so I should me more grateful to him right?" Nine defended himself.

"Nine tell me something. Do you think Joong is handsome?" Pavel skipped his way forward to catch Nine whispering oh his ear, loud enough for me to hear though.

"Chai. He is definitely handsome." Nine whispered back loudly not before checking me once secretly.

"Nine are you anyhow trying to flirt with my friend here?" Pavel asked next giving me a wink.

"Does he understand that I'm flirting with him?" Nine's answer made me cough in shock.

"Oh my God. Then I don't have any chance do I?" Pavel jutted out his bottom lip acting cute.

"Mmmmm." Nine put his finger on his chin thinking for a while before shaking his head giving doe eyes. These drama kings.

"Will both of you shut up? I can hear everything." I yelled stopping both of them for a while before Pavel started again.

I just rolled my eyes giving up on them.

"Oh my what is this?" Nine's excited screech brought me back to focus on them only to find some local children in the hilltribe costume standing there smiling at us.

"These are the local children here. They like to entertain tourists with their traditional songs." Pavel narrated brushing the hair of few of the children whom he knew personally living here.

"Wooooow I want to hear too." Nine jumped up and down excitedly.

And soon I found Nine dancing with them and singing with them although not knowing any lyrics. The children happily sang around him as he clapped his hands in joy. His giggles and laughter echoing through the entire forest, attracting other visitors or tourists as well who were recording him. Pavel was the one standing a bit far away recording him and also cheering him.

"You will send me that." I whispered to his ears walking to him, pointing at the video.

"Okay boss." He smirked clearly teasing me again.

"Stop giving that look. There's nothing going on between us to behave like that." I mumbled grumpily.

He raised his eyebrow at me giving a doubtful gaze. "Did I say anything? Its you overthinking here. Or is it really there?" I glared at him getting him back to his job.

"Joong?" I looked up to see Nine beckoning me with his hand. I shook my head denying the offer. He sighed before running to me and then after hooking his hand in my arms I was tugged forward with him to the center of the attention.

He beamed at me now grabbing my hand, holding it tightly and swinging it with the rhythm of the song.

The entire time he never left my hand clutching it strongly as if his life depended on my hand and a serene feeling crawled it's way to my heart. I was happy. For the first time in so many years I was happy. I wanted to smile my heart out. And I did. I smiled warmly forgetting my duties, my responsibilities, my promises. Nothing mattered.

I had found my answer. I had surrendered to him.
