As Lilith, Mary, and Sabrina were waiting on the Dark Lord, Lilith told them a story all about her life. She explained to them how Lucifer became this being of complete darkness. And she served him for thousands of years.

Once Dorian told them the Dark Lord was ready to see them, Mary was the first to see him. She walked into the dimly lit room and she spotted a long elegant table with chairs surrounding it. Tons of fruits and berries covered the surface. Mary could see a man sitting at the front of the table...

Looking directly at her.

Something told her not to be scared but that didn't stop the chill running up her spine. She walked up to a chair that sat to his upper right. Her hands were slightly shaking as she stared into his charred soul. He looked her with a hidden disgust.

"I can't believe I have to do this again." He said, like he was remembering a terrible memory. "What's that supposed to mean?" Mary asked. No words left the man's mouth, Mary was quick to change her posture to appear more confident.

"What do you want from me?" She hissed. "How about... companionship? Respect? No...?" He pouted playfully. Mary titled her head up. "Well, soon enough for those things. In the meantime, I'd settle for gratitude." He said.

Mary scoffed. "Gratitude? For what? What did you possibly give me?" She asked. "Have I not given you every worthwhile thing? A family, a home, power?" He asked with a tilt of his head. "You never gave me any of those things." Mary said with an undertone of anger.

"Now, now, no lies between us, Mary. Not on the event of our glorious ascension. The truth is, Mary, I gave you that extra zing to your power and you've loved it. You said it yourself. You're anger, you're wrath, you're glory, when you've shown it, has been godly."

"I have waited a millennia for such a fit right hand knight, Mary Rose. I will not be denied it now." The Dark Lord said. Mary crossed her legs elegantly. "Why not ask Lilith?" She asked, making the man scoff. "Lilith knows her place. Her purpose. To serve... here's yours." He said, leaning towards her.

"You will fly into the heavens... take in your holy essence, and slaughter the pack of angels and archangels who dare to go against your power. And then... you will be the new god. Go to Sabrina's coronation and crown her as the world's new queen. And then, once we have dance the Mephisto Waltz, the world will be remade in Hell's image. All the demon hordes will be freed, and you will reign over heaven and the depths of hell. While Sabrina and I will rule over the Earth. For all eternity." He explained. Mary tilted her head.

"Sorry, I have something planned with Ambrose." She said. That sentence plagued an anger in the Dark Lord's soul. He chuckled. "You've said no to yourself for nearly 17 years. There has only ever been one path for you, Mary Rose. The Path of Night. Your every choice you have ever made has led you here, before me. I've made quite sure of that."

"Haven't I... Mr. Gavin?" He said. Mary's heart fell to the floor as she watched him walked into the room before going before her. A look of guilt was washed onto his face. "Mary... He... stroke a bargain with me. He asked me date you and... go out with you, in exchange for more power. I'm... sorry." He said genuinely. Mary looked at him with a dullness in her eyes. She could feel every emotion possible.

Her heart felt like an entire tsunami. Gavin looked slight concerned at her expression before a loud crack sounded through the room and his neck twisted around completely. His body fell onto the ground with a thud and Mary stared down at him with an emotionless expression.

"Well... there's that." The Dark Lord said. Mary looked back at the man before her. "Now I understand why dear old Dad decided to create another one of his science experiments." He said, leaning back in his chair. Mary raised an eyebrow.
