I returned to my room that night, laying down on my bed yet still finding sleep hard to come by. I stared up at the patterns on the ceiling. Hand carved designs that seemed to be woven onto it, surely worth a man's salt. The manor was old, yes, but very elegant to a sense. Very obvious a lot of time had been put into its construction. Which only caused for more questions to raise. Had it been built purely for holding people in? If so, who is behind it? Or is it really just purgatory as Andrew had mentioned. Where sinners pay their debt while those who've lived among godly morals are free to roam.

It was all odd, everything about the manor, really.

My thoughts were interrupted by a bright light through the window, the sun. I had gotten barely any sleep but that of course wasn't anything I had not gotten used to. Although another day meany another match. Another opportunity for a deadly mess up.

I shook myself out of it, deciding to remain calm  in order to focus. Something that i was prepared for now, I need to keep myself together.

I changed and tied my hair up again to get it out of my face, it seriously needed to be cut but I hadn't the time nor desire to do so.

Once reaching the door of the matching room, I froze noticing the same pale boy I kept running into crouched against the wall, his fingers grazing the outline of his necklace yet again. The same mumble of words that I couldn't quite make out on his lips. A prayer. He was praying.

"We meet again" I said with a smile, though wasn't met with the same energy, not even close. "Leave me alone, I have better things to worry about than socialization."

"Noted." I said with a smile, just trying to raise the depressing mode. Which he definitely was not up for.

As for that match, I met two new people. One of which I learned goes by the name Fiona, and the other that remains unknown. Though they seemed to be a dancer or something of the sort. As in other good news it went without casualties. Everyone escaped with minimal injuries. Which was a very good change of pace since the first.

"Do not let it get to your ego." Andrew said behind me, looking around the rather than directly at me even when my full attention was on him.

"I don't know what you mean. Why must you make everything into something negative."  I said, stepping a little closer to him.

"Simply speaking from experience."

"I don't know why I bother though. You seem to already have your mind set."

"Is your wound still bleeding?" He changed the subject, seeming to notice the fresh blood that soaked through the fabric of my shirt. "It seems so, through probably from exerting myself earlier. It must've torn." He nodded in response, trying hard to act like it wasn't going to bug him knowing I was hurt. He wasn't easy to read, no, but he was starting to open up even if just a little. I guess what I had said the night before really got to him, which was good. Only seeing the negative within something like this was sure to do harm.

"Andrew." I looked back at him, as if inspecting his face.

"Can I ask you something..? You needn't answer if you please not to but I'm intrigued."

"I feel as if even if I say no you'll ask anyway so go ahead." He looked down at him, eyebrows raised, waiting for response.

His was was chiseled like fine porcelain, the pale facial hair defining his bone structure even more. It made him look intimidating, yet something about it I found beautiful. I found myself getting slightly distracted. I quickly gathered myself again and not let him wait any longer than he already had.

"Would you join me for a stroll in the garden..?" I asked, a little nervous to be lashed out at again but it didn't matter anyways. I rather enjoyed his company, even if it seemed he didn't enjoy my own. In fact I considered him more than an acquaintance, perhaps a friend.

He paused for a long moment in confusion, looking at me rather oddly as he tried to examine my intentions.

I felt need to explain myself. "I enjoy your company, I do. I really do believe we could have something close to friendship..So perhaps you should join me."

The odd look continued for another moment before he finally nodded, thought still seemed not completely sure.

"Thank you, Mr. Kreiss." I nodded back. "I need to patch myself up again, I trust that you'll wait on me." I smiled and carried myself back to my room.
