1st person view

A flash of light went to my view of vision...

Am I dead? Is this heaven?

I mean I did get shot through the heart... I expected hell, but I guess heaven's alright... unless this is hell? Am I in a "The Good Place" situation?

Oh sh*t! I held my right hand to stop the light from blinding my eyes. Is that the sun?

"Ma'am? Ma'am? Are you okay?" huh?

I clenched my eyes closed and opened them back wide.

I was on an unfamiliar beach. What? Am I in limbo?

There were people beside me... gathering as if I was an animal from the zoo.

"Did I die?" I asked the person beside me. They chuckled and helped me back up, sand getting everywhere. He looked back at me.

"if it weren't for me, then yeah..." I chuckled, so am I dead or what? And what's with this banging headache, fuck me, ugh.

I looked back at the boy who saved me. He was pretty cute not gonna lie. Nice tanned skin, perfectly toned body... I looked back up at his face. Holy Fuck. Pretty boy alert huh. I gotta answer him shit, wait- I can't feel my legs- wait.

"oh, hah! Thank you-" I felt myself tumble towards the pretty boy, "Woah- sorry mate-"

"Nah no problem, let's go and get you somewhere safe like a-"

And I'm out.

I woke up in cold sweat. I'm in a hospital now, the smell of medicine and freshly cleaned sheets filled the air.  

Huh? Who's that behind the curtains? I pulled one side of the curtain- And- a familiar pink-haired princess alien went into my line of vision- oH WAIT.

HOLY SHIT.

I close the curtains slowly and sank to the hospital bed...

Why was the older Starfire from the DC World here? Wait am I actually dying? Is this a make a wish foundation volunteer?

"Ain?" huh who?

"is that me- me?" I asked back, cautiously. The curtains sprang open. "Ain!" 'Starfire' shouted excitedly, hugging me with all her might. Lol, I am dying. Or I'm already dead and this is a dream?

"Ain! Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" Starfire whispered, still hugging me. Um.

"Is my name Ain?" Starfire looked back at me, making a similar confused face like mine.

"Yes... Ain Reave. The newest member of the Teen Titans." She told me. She's unexpectedly calm.

WAIT! ME? TEEN TITANS? ROBIN? RAVEN?

"what?" I asked, still confused if I'm dead or not, or if I'm dying and Starfire is from the make a wish foundation...

"um. Maybe you have been-" before she could even finish her sentence the doctor cut her off. Wow.

"Yes, she has amnesia, before she was pulled out of the water her head had hit the side of the rocks. Making her fade and fall into a concussion. We have the scans here." The doctor said, making Starfire sigh... fu*kkkkk.

"well then, it may take a while for you to adjust. Do you know how old you are?"

Well, back at home I was 14-

Home! Fuck is Alphie alright? Did that fucker who robbed us die yet? Shit shit shit shit.

"Hello?" Starfire waved her hand in front of my face. Shit. Um.

"I'm 14?" I guessed. Hoping I got it right and that I don't look like a 7 yr old.

"yup, how about your birthday?" she asked again. Still very eager.

I swayed my head left to right. Starfire bit her lip.

"How about your power?" I have a power? Holy shit...

But still can't help you there princess. I swayed my head left to right again. Starfire sighs once more. She held my sweaty warm hands looked me right in my eyes. Her almond-shaped eyes looked right in. I felt her gaze all around my body. "Hey, it's going to be okay." She assured me, her soft angelic voice felt like a choir of harmonies. Yes, I will be okay.

"your name is Ain Reaves, you were born on October 12th. You are the newest member of the Teen Titans after Batman has approved that you were capable. Your power is being able to shapeshift any parts of your body into weapons. You also apparently jumped off a cliff, and almost died." Oops

"I see... I um... how do I act usually?" I asked, I really don't want to act any different but if I have to, just to blend in then... I will. Starfire smiled with great warmth and sympathy.

"I never knew, only the Bats and a few others do... But please, for now, just act like yourself." Starfire said, holding my hands. "let's go to the base hm?" she asked. Oh and see the characters I so love? Yes, please!
