Chapter 3, TEEN TITANS???

3rd person view

The car parked just outside the oh so familiar 'T' shaped building. The excitement was building up in Ain's heart. She was going to see her heroes. Her heroes that she loved so much.

"Stay outside the car, I haven't told the others that there's a new member... who lost their memory, I'll have to point that out damn... um, I'll get Nightwing to come out and help you to your room okay?" Starfire told Ain, with such a motherly tone how could Ain not follow. Ah, her mother. 'I hope mother is resting well, I hope father is well too.' Ain thought. The young girl nodded and stayed right beside the car and waited for the amazing Nightwing to come.

Inside Starfire say the other kids already training on the stage. Damian taking all the time for himself as always. Hmph. Beast-boy, slow on his reactions but better than last time. 'it's alright Beast-boy, we all lost Terra too. It's okay you'll get through this.' Starfire thought, rooting for the green-skinned boy.

'Alright, show time.' Starfire thought.

"Guys." All of the kids looked at her. They immediately stopped what they were doing and slowly gathered to her. Nightwing was first to speak to her. "the new kid's outside, she lost her memory, take her to her room please." Starfire whispered to Nightwing. He nodded and shuffled outside.

The other kids looked at him with suspicion.

"Whats up Kori?" Beast-Boy asked puffing midway, smiling so widely.

"um well, we have a new member." Beast-boy immediately frowned; the others seemed angry too. Kori knew it would be like this. After all, it's only been 3 months since Terra... Passed.

"what the fuck Kori? You know we don't need another person here!" Robin started, clearly pissed at his superior's actions. "it's only been 3 months since all of us had to go through-" Robin got cut off.

"who is it?" Beast-Boy asked. Still slightly mad.

"A girl from down under," the kids looked confused. Starfire rolled her eyes. "A girl from Australia. Her family died and she got transported to Batman's Orphanage for the gifted."

"What's her power?" Blue Beetle asked.

"Is she our age?" Beast-Boy asked as well.

"Does she have any evil intent or actions on us?" Robin got a punch from Raven.

"she can shapeshift her body parts into weapons, yes she's 14, no, Robin, she won't hurt you. Plus. I don't even think she would know you guys..."

"what do you mean Kori?" Robin queried, genuinely seeming interested. He walked closer to Kori, trudging, and dragging his foot on the hard cement. "what does that mean?" he sheathed his katana and placed it back to his hips. As he said those words he put more emphasis and placed a harsher tone on. These kids must've been through hell to have such anxiety. 'How do I tell them??' Kori thought. Biting her bottom bit just a little she spoke.

"After her application to be a titan, she went to Jump City as planned." The kids nodded, thinking that the story is sailing nicely, Robin and Beast-Boy still skeptical, and frankly scared. They didn't want this to be another situation. Blue Beetle hoping that it won't turn out to be a 'special snowflake-wannabe hero' from a few weeks ago. Starfire sighed and continued. "she arrived in Jump City and I was appointed to meet her at 1 pm this afternoon. But apparently, she wanted to have a cliff jumping session first and so she fell," the kids furrowed their eyebrows, Beast-Boy getting a little worried about how this story ends. Raven shifting her hips to the left side, rolling her eyes. letting her cape drape over, she cued the Pink Princess to continue. "Ehem, yes, well, apparently, she hit her head on the rocks, just left to the bottom of the cliff." Beast-Boy softly gasped, Robin, sighing in annoyance. "she has amnesia..."

Robin groaned and stomped his foot on the ground. "Yeah so she fell and lost her memories, now she'll be an eyesore and an annoyance to this team!" he complained, walking back to the training grounds. Suddenly disinterested. Blue Beetle smirked.

"So you already accepted her to the team huh?" Blue Beetle joked, looking to Robin, face still habituating a smirk.

Suddenly a sharp katana was in front of Blue Beetle's face. Shocked, his beetle went on defense mode and knocked the sword out of Robin's hand. Robin caught the katana with his other hand, he hit Blue on the chin with the katana's handle and kicked his left rib. Blue Beetle tumbled to his right but stayed on his feet. "you punk-" Beetle raised his claws and ran towards Robin.

"GUYS! Settle down!" Starfire shouted. Pissed with the duo's attitude towards each other. Blue Beetle retracted his claws and walked away from Robin, still limping from the attack Robin made. Starfire stomped towards Robin and pulled him by the ear. She had enough of his attitude. "I will no longer tolerate this kind of attitude from you two!" Starfire let go of Robin's ear and walked back up the ledge. "As I was saying, she has amnesia. But, she seemed to remember me and even seemed eager when she heard she was going to be a titan, she probably lost her memories about herself, but knows everything else, not including her application to be a titan. So... Please treat her well." Kori finished, hoping that the other kids can be as welcoming as they did with each other. She hoped Nightwing is going well with Ain. Kori really hopes Ain loves this place.

As Kori let the kids go back to training Nightwing already had helped Ain inside the tower.

"So Ain this is your room, I hope you enjoy your stay!" Nightwing said, giving Ain a warm smile as he opened the bedroom door. He couldn't help but smile awkwardly, I mean no one can handle such eyes of admiration that Ain had for Nightwing. He chuckled nervously and as a joke, he asked. "You uh, do you want an autograph?" Ain gulped and nodded fiercely, "ha-" Nightwing held his laugh and pulled a pen out of his pocket, it was just a joke but he didn't expect her to be so eager. He signed her shirt and helped her luggage through her door.

"I guess ill see you later! You'll be called down by the Announcement Speaker, which is connected throughout the building and in each every room, um... The bathroom's just a floor below and right beside the stairs to your right... Um... well..." Nightwing has never been so awkward in his life. He just doesn't know how to talk to a new member who's just excited about everything. Ain took note of the rising awkwardness. She was just too happy to see Nightwing out and in the flesh.

Just out of nowhere Ain asked, "Are we allowed pets?", Nightwing just smiled and shuffled Ain's hair, 'Whelp, she's still a kid after all.' He thought. "Yup kiddo, as long as they don't put anyone in danger! Heehee!" Nightwing chuckled and left the girl back to her room.
