The diary of a "Hero"

"NO! Don't! please let my family live!" the little girl whimpered. She held her mother's dying hand and her brother's on the other. The Robber chuckled, cocking his gun and stepping forward to the girl. Fire burning throughout the house, the smoke rising and fogging the girl's view of the man. Until.

"You better shut your mouth. Be a good little girl... unless you want to end up like your dad there." The man said, pointing his gun to the girl's dead dad. He stepped closer, aiming the gun at her mother's forehead. Giving the girl a smirk, he eased his finger on the trigger.

"NO!"

*BANG*

The bullet was shot even before the young girl could move her mother away.

The man re-loaded his gun. With the swiftest movement, she lifted her younger brother off the ground and ran.

She didn't know where. But just somewhere safe. Safe enough for her brother to flee.

She knew she couldn't survive this... but at least she could save at least one person. A few meters from her house she took her younger brother off her back and stood beside him, she then whispered.

"Go to our neighbors' house. Their key is under their mat. Tell them you don't feel safe at home and make them call the police."

*BANG* a shot was fired to the sky. The younger brother whimpered.

"Come out little girl!"

The younger brother nodded. Tears still flowing. The girl smiled and hugged her sibling.

"Remember, Alphie... I love you." The younger brother wiped his tears off and hugged his sister back. He ran towards their neighbor's house. 'let him be safe. Please.' She thought.

The little girl ran back to the man. Feet prickled with pain as her bare feet hit the rough road. The vision of the man became clearer, and as the smoke of the fire cleared it revealed him.

'There stood a tall, well built, blond man, with a scar from his left ear to the bottom left his jaw.'

'His laugh would echo, his eyes would gleam like gold, and had a smirk full of schemes.'

"There you are! I was beginning to think you just ditched me!" he shouted, pulling the gun back to the front.

"Shoot me." The girl said. She had nothing else to fear. Nothing else to lose. Her brother was safe, and she tried her best.

Only if she just finished that last comic. Then she would've been less hesitant to die.

"Hmm. You're no fun." The Robber claimed. His blond hair reflected the fire that burnt her house down to the ground. Her home.

"Shoot ME GODDAMMIT!" she shouted, now furious at how one man can change her life, just like that.

"Fine." The man cocked his gun and-

*BANG*

The girl landed on the rough road and bled immensely. A shot in the heart is painful indeed.

"God, I hate kids. So pushy." The man said, walking over the girl's dying body as if she was just a leaf.

'even after the job he's still mean.' She thought. Slightly chuckling.

For two minutes she laid there, getting flashbacks of her life. Until she finally laid down to rest forever.

'ah... I forgot to read that issue... I guess Alphie can read it later...'
