Chapter 9

JIEUN couldn't speak. She can only let the person on the other side talk. Her chest goes up and down, the anger has not subsided. She doesn't want to recall everything that guy did to her. I hate him!!

"Jieun" Taehyung calls her name again after a few moment of silence.

Jieun sighs deeply.

"I've told you.. if you want Nayeon's number, work hard for it. I won't easily give it to you" says her sternly.

"Hey hey, calm down. What's wrong? When did I ever ask for Nayeon's number.. who's her anyway?" Taehyung gets super confused.

"Taehyung, stop acting clueless. I really don't get you, acting all nice to me just to get with my friend?! I can let you be friends with her but not in this way!"

"Jieun, goshh you've seriously misunderstood" Taehyung tries to calm her down.

Jieun refuses to listen anything and quickly ends the call. Damn it, just ruined my mood. She makes her way to the bathroom.

THE sound of cars honking can be heard clearly. Jieun walks along the sidewalk with a digital camera Olympus in her hand. Food stalls at the sides catch her attention to take some photos.

While focusing on the photos taken, her camera lense catch a figure of the same familiar guy crossing in front of her. Jieun moves her camera away. Her eyebrows furrowed.

"If you really believe that it was him deep down in your heart, I'm sure you wouldn't miss the chance to meet him again. But you yourself didn't truly sure. Am I right? Back to reality, Jieun ah.. he's gone. Like dead gone. I don't know why of all places, you chose Kyoto"

Nayeon's words are lingering in Jieun's head, she grits her teeth. She better chase that guy. Even if she's wrong, at least that can make her feel better.

Jieun rushes to follow the figure which she thinks is Jungkook. She really wishes it is actually him even deep down her heart convinces her that Jungkook's gone.

The guy walks faster to cross the road and Jieun couldn't follow him anymore as the traffic light has turned green. Bunch of cars passing before her eyes. She keeps searching for the figure.

Dup! Dup! Her heart goes from beating fast almost stops. Jungkook's figure has lost from sight. Jieun is now seeing other figure crying at the other side of the road.

"EOMMA..." a guy around 179 cm is crying at the side of the road. No idea where he is. The pedestrians traffic light turns from red to green. The cars stop to give space for the pedestrians. Jieun crosses the road slowly with her eyes still focusing on the crying guy.

"Taehyung?"

Taehyung ignores her but still crying of course.

"Taehyung!" she touches his shoulder.

He turns to Jieun with swollen eyes.

"Noona.. do you know Minjae's mom? Her name is Raena. Minjae couldn't find mom.." he sobs.

Jieun scratches her head.

"Taehyung, what the heck are you doing?? It's not funnyy" Jieun shakes his shoulders.
