"..you want me to tie it for ya?"
"Naw, I got this."
"No you don't, not even the shirt. Just look at it! You buttoned it all wrong."
Dave just grumbled at him and continued minding his shirt-business.
"Are you generally this messy or just still dizzy over the weed?"
"Shush sportsy. I look elegant eighter way."
"Elegant and messy are fair opposites, Mr. Miller. But yea, the weeb look sure fits ya in way or sum shit."
Dave looked at him, without moving his head, not to get so distracted from his tie. He gave out a small chuckle, then went back to awkwardly keep trying.
Half a minute passed and Jack got inpatient. He rolled his eyes and groaned, then grabbed Dave by his messy looking shirt. An orange one to be exact, with little palm trees all over it.
"How obvious, just trying to get me flattered with choosing this one." Jack thought and smiled, secretly appeciating it. And then he unbuttoned all the buttons to start all over again. Which is not what Dave expected. He froze for a second, then tried to look all chill. Jack wasn't sure if he took this opportunity to just genuinely help him or just to peek at the scars once again.
"Nah, the scars, definetly the scars." He thought to give this a proper goal.He buttoned half of them, but kept looking at the scars.
"Springlock's don't do heart surgeries and shit, do they?.." he whispered not intentionally.
"Neat right?" Dave heared him whisper, and thought for a quick response.
"A-although I don't remember how I got them. I just woke up with those one day.."
Jack stopped buttoning his shirt and kept looking at the biggest stitched wound near his heart. His right arm let go of the shirt and buttons, and started to touch it with his pointer finger. Just softly and slowly, running it across the scar. Feeling sick. The way he looked, was so concerning. Like if his mind trapped him into being triggered and in an overthinking loop. Trapped in his thoughts of doubts and negativity.
"..Did Henry..put him back together? But it HAD to cost something for him..what was it?"
His thoughts filled up his mind, and just couldn't think much about what he was doing. He just acted what his..remaining guts told him...Or did the voices come back for a second?..
He let his finger go from Dave's chest, and was about to put his whole palm on it, but then a hand grabbed his wrist strongly and stopped it.
"C-c'mon sportsy! I-I'm pretty sensitive there!.."
"Ah! Oh sorry, I got..distracted."
Jack as snapped back to present looked up to the purple hand that grabbed him. He looked like, he was tryna prevent something. He choose to let go, and get back to original business.Aaand the buttons are all set! Time for tieing the tie. Good thing he still remembers how to do those. He grabbed the black tie and started to fold it in itself n all, since that's pretty much how you tie a tie.
Tie's tied. He adjusted it a little, and with the work's being done he took a few steps back to take a full look on THE Mr. Aubergine."Huh. I expected worse."
"H-H-Heck you!"
Jack by the lack of awnser just chuckled at his fellow idiot.
"Anyways I'll put on a pair of suspender's too and we're ready to go."
"Gee, who do you want to be liked by so much?"
"Just wanted to feel fancy in my own skin again I guess?"
"I mean.." Jack paused and sighed. "You did quite achive that eighter way. Have to admit that I didn't lie when I said it fits ya." he smiled and turned his head away, so Dave won't be able to look at him directly.
"Oh..hehe, thank's for that." Dave smiled back at Jack, but he couldn't acknowlage it much.
"I missed hearing that. I only heared H̵͇̹̏͛͜é̷̺͈̠́n̶̫̽̏͌r̴͍̺̈́͝ỷ̴̘̗͑̕ say it once."
"Wha.. C-could you repeate that?" Some sound scribbled that made out.
"Just said I missed being actually fancy."
"Hm, yea sure.."
"Pretty sure it had Henry in it..god the noises, I hope it won't all happen again. I can't go insane before getting my mission done!" Jack thought and shook his head a lil.
"Let's..get going now." Jack said as opening the hotel door, with a plain expression, somewhat anxious.
"Right behind ya!" Dave said with some excitement. He hoped this adventure to be just like before. Like, before type of fun vibed. While Jack still had his other plan in hand..
"I don't care, he has to understand."
