(M/n pov)

"What the hell are you saying, Kauro?" My high school sweetheart looked down at me with a sad look on his face, "We have to break up (M/n). I have a lot to prepare for I want to beat Adam at his own game but I can't do that if I have you. It isn't because your a distraction but it's because I won't have time for you between work and training." I stared at him I could feel myself get angrier and angrier on the inside. I brought my hands up and smack him right across his face, "Glad to know exactly what your priorities are. I hope you get what you want and it leaves you miserable by the end of it." With that I grabbed my bag and left his shop. I made my way through the streets until I stood in front of Kojiro's restaurant. I saw the closed sigh but I chose to ignore it. I slammed open the door before making eye contact with him. He looked confused but he spoke up, "(M/n)? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with the pompous jerk?" I sat down next to him before sighing, "He broke up with me."

He almost dropped the cup he was cleaning as he yelled, "WHAT?!?! You two are the forever high school sweethearts. What happened?" I shrugged a bit, "He just made his priorities straight. He doesn't want to be with me because he'll be too busy preparing and training to best Adam at his own game." Kojiro nodded his head before sighing, "I'm not sure if I can actually help you. What are you going to now?" I stared at him before sighing, "I think I'm going on a trip to America. I've always wanted to go with Kauro but since we broke up might as well go by myself." He nodded his head, "How long will you be gone?" I shrugged as I stood up, "I'm not really sure but please refrain from contacting me I'd rather have this trip to treat myself." He nodded and waved me goodbye. It was long after that I left Japan and landed in America to start my trip.

*Time skip 2 years*

(Kauro pov)

It's been about two years since (M/n) and I had broken up and not once had I forgotten about him. I still have our pictures saved on my phone as well as his phone number. I texted many times over the last two years but it was clear that he had blocked me. As I looked down at my phone I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around I see my idiotic friends. "Everything okay, cherry?" I heard Reki ask. I nodded my head before I spoke up, "What's up?" Joe spoke up, "Adam is here and he's said that there are two skaters that he wants to go against." My eyes widened and we all quickly headed towards the stage. There stood a guy wearing a black hoodie that covered his face who I saw went by the name Snake. While the other one was wearing a mask that hid half his face. As I looked at him I could help but feel like I knew him. The three of the walked towards the starting line. As we stood there I heard a random person yell, "He new guy what's your name?" The guy looked over in the direction before he spoke up, "None ya business, asshole." With that the light hit green.

Snake and Adam went ahead while the guy stayed behind. Everything was quiet as the guy stared up at the camera's that were on Adam and Snake. As the guy from before went to yell the guy put his board down and looked up again. That's when I saw that Adam and Snake were half way through the course. When I looked back down the guy was gone. Everyone eyes widened at the realization that the cameras couldn't even pick up where he was. Quickly our entire group made our way to the finish line and waited to see the results. Everyone was quiet and the tension inside of the factory was over the roof. Finally Adam and Snake came through the door but everyone was looking for the last guy. It wasn't until Adam passed the finish line and began celebrating that we finally heard someone clear their throat quite loudly. We turned around to see the guy leaning against the wall. He pushed himself off the wall before he spoke up, "What took you both so long? You know Adam I really only came here to see if you were any good. And to my surprise you're quite slow."

He pulled off his mask and smirked as my eyes widened along with Joe's. He looked over at Joe and I before looking back at Adam, "To think cherry here broke up with me to try and beat a cheater and cheapskate like you. I'll see you around Adam. Just know you were beat by someone who took up skateboarding less that two years ago." With that (M/n) walked off and I didn't hesitate to follow after him. "(M/n) wait please." I yelled before grabbing ahold of his wrist. He looked back at me with a raised eyebrow, "How may I help you Sakurayashiki?" My eyes wided and I could fee tears prick into the corners of my eyes. I got down on my knees and wrapped my arms around his waist. "I'm sorry (M/n). I swear I regretted every moment after I broke up with you. I've felt so alone without you by my side. I never realized how much I needed your support to get better. Please forgive this idiot."

I heard (M/n) laugh from above me before Z he gently caressed my cheek, "I've already forgiven you. Now get up." I did as told and he gently brushed his thumb underneath my eyes with a slight frown on his face. "Have you not been getting enough sleep?" I shook my head and he sighed. Before he pulled down my mask and pulled me towards him. He pecked my lips before gently nibbled on my bottom lip. He pulled away before smiling up at me. I smiled back before I spoke up, "Would it be alright to start going out again? I'd like to have you in my life again because I still love you and I never want to let you go again." He nodded his head, "You'll have to earn it Kauro but I feel the same." I smiled and pulled him into a hug before I spun him around, "Thank you. I'll make sure to show you you're my one and only priority." And true to my word I showed (M/n) how much he meant to me. By the end of it we happily became boyfriends again and we spent the rest of our lives together.
