Three days later.

"Okay. Ally you will be fine, okay? Okay good. Please don't. Don't.. just whatever you do, don't cry..." Charlotte said with her eyes filling with tears as she had her hand on her sister's shoulder.

"Um... Lottie... That hurts..." Ally expressed as her sister's fingers dug into her shoulder.

"What hurts?! Can I get you anything? Please say you're alright!" Charlotte panicked.

"No.. Ow, you're just pinching my arm... And it hurts!!"

"Oh sorry. I am so sorry. Forgive me? Please forgive me! I don't want you to go when you're mad at me!"

"Go where...?"

"You know.... Go, go.... Go?"

"Charlotte you're not making me feel any better!"

"Sorry! I am truly so sorry! From the bottom of my heart I am so sorry I swear I..."

"Lottie stop. Please."

Sarah walked into the room with Drew by her side.

"Charlotte my dear, would you mind going to sit with your mother in the waiting room? Sorry my love. We need to get your sister ready now." Sarah offered them both a friendly smile.

"No... NO! I will not leave her side! You will have to remove me by force! I will not..." Charlotte stood up staying next to Ally's bed.

"Charlotte... Please." Ally said grabbing her sister's hand.

"I will be fine! See you in a little while."

"Oh... Um... Alright. Bye little Angel." Charlotte winked at her sister and walked out.

"Okay Ally, I am going to get Dr Pritchard and Dr Jenkins, then we will begin. Is it alright if Drew stays? Oh I almost forgot." Sarah walked over to Ally, removed a tube of cream from her pocket, took Ally's hand and rubed it across the top of it, then covered it with a large plastic plaster. "It will begin to feel a bit numb soon, but that just indicates that it is working. Alright, I am off. I will be back in less than ten minutes." Ally nodded, and Sarah smiled, then walked out.

Ally rubbed her eyes and briefly caught Drew's eye contact, but dropped it as tears began to form in the corner of her eyes.

"Ally, I know you are..." Drew offered her a sincere gesture which she refused to accept.

"I need to pee! Jheeze, why do you people always assume something is wrong!" She burst out with, while clearing her eyes. She walked into the bathroom slamming the door shut, walking over to the mirror by the sink, without waiting for the door to click closed. It slowly fell open, revealing to Drew a tearful Ally whispering to herself.

"Ally..." He whispered. He then got up off the chair he was sat on, walked over to her, and put his hands on her shoulders. Drew was not sure how Ally was going to react to his actions, but she reacted well. She turned under his gentle grasp and wrapped her arms around his waste; he moved his hands off her shoulders down her back and embraced her hug. She began crying again.

"Hey. Look at me. Ally." She looked up into his remarkable crystal blue eyes. "All the doctors here are extremely experienced, they all know what they are doing. I promise you, you are going to be alright, and I never make promises that I can't keep. That's another promise." She smiled. He smiled. They hugged again. They released each other's embrace, he took her hand and guided her over to her bed in the room. Drew helped Ally onto the bed, and when she was settled in, he wiped the tears off her cheeks, and sat in the chair next to her with his hand placed next to her side. She took his hand in hers and did not let go.

"There is so much I have yet to do. So many places I have not seen. So many people I have yet to meet! I can just kiss all those dreams goodbye now." Ally said breaking the dramatic silence.

"A bucket list." Drew said half explaining, half questioning Ally's statement.

"Yes. A bucket list. I have so many things that I will never be..." They were interrupted by Sarah walking into the room followed by a much shorter stout middle aged woman, and an older looking man.

"Okay. Ally, my dear are you ready?" She looked over at Drew, who was still holding her hand, and nodded. "Alright. Has the cream helped? Yeah? Perfect. Okay, Dr Mitchell, would you mind stepping outside?" He nodded. "Thank you."

Drew stood up, and just before he released Ally's grasp, he whispered something in her ear, and they both smiled, as all the doctors' eyes followed him out the room.

"Alright sweetie. You should not feel this. The cream..." Someone's voice began to trail off. Ally was not sure who was talking, she did not even notice who injected the needle into her hand, she did not even feel it. The only thing she knew, as she drifted off to sleep was, Drew was going to help her complete her bucket list, and he cared about her. She fell asleep smiling.
