Arden Zheng wanted the people of the ark to feel safe, to not feel like wherever they walked they'd be arrested for the smallest thing and immediately be floated. Arden wanted to make a change, to make the people of the ark feel protected. But when she made the decision to become part of the arks (very strict) law enforcement, she ultimately found it hard to make the people of the ark feel safe because at every turn she was arresting someone for something as little as stealing a single apple. She quickly found out that just because her heart told her something, doesn't mean she should listen.
The only person that understood the way she wanted to change the ark was the boy that joined the guard not so long after Arden had, Bellamy Blake, a boy who was jumping every time someone walked by, practically holding his hands out for the guards to put handcuffs on him and haul him straight to the skybox. If it hadn't been for the fact that he was part of the guard (which you have to have a squeaky clean record to be part of ) Arden would've been suspicious of his unusual behavior and determination to hide his personal life away from her and everyone else around him. He'd only started opening up to her a month into their time working together, learning about his little quirks and his love for mythology, his obsession with the Iliad.
Arden soon learned that the reason behind all of Bellamy's secrets and purely paranoid behavior, he had a sister that was arrested during a dance for the teenagers of the ark, Bellamy immediately being demoted to janitor while the two people he loved most were take from him, his mom floated while his sister was locked away to rot in a cell and come to the same fate his mother had. It was only after the incident that Bellamy had stopped talking to Arden, avoiding all eye contact when he crossed paths with her, refusing to speak or even breathe the same air as her. Arden knew it was because she brought back the memories of the horrid night of his sisters arrest. It was as if all the progress that Arden had made with Bellamy had being swooshed away into space. So Arden stayed away from him, finding herself questioning why she didn't help the boy and his little sister when incidents like that was the reason why she joined the guard in the first place, instead, she had been the one to haul her away out of the dance and lock her up.
And a dropship filled with 100 teenage prisoners is sent to earth, Bellamy Blake disappearing with it, Arden watches as the chaos starts to unfold on the usually quiet and calm place they called home and the rest of the citizens are ultimately forced to be sent to the ground just like Bellamy and the delinquents. On the ground, Arden is faced with life threatening situations that make her question everything she grew up to believe.

Hello and welcome to this Bellamy Blake fic I am super excited to write! Ignore the terrible summary of the story, I genuinely hate it. I want to thank stilestastic for giving me a chance to write this story, you can find their plot shop on their profile. I absolutely love Arden and I'm super excited to start this. I def I will be adding more characters to the cast as the story goes on!!
