🤍
truth be told, yoongi had always been short tempered even when he was just a little kid.
he remembers being angry at his father for not buying him the toy car he had been wanting for christmas when he was three.
or when he used to sulk whenever his mother forced him to eat vegetables for lunch when he was around ten.
when he entered high school, he started showing violent tendencies due to his anger.
almost every twice a week his parents were called to the principal office, the old man behind the desk complaining about yoongi starting a fight which became the reason he got expelled.
his parents had begged him to stay calm so that the black haired male would at least graduate.
but it started changing when he met her.
she helped him control his emotions, ironically, because when she left him alone with a two months old pup to take care of all by himself, yoongi felt so much anger that he had to seek a therapist.
yet, all those times when he used to get angry, the alpha had never felt guilty.
but as he stands there in the empty corridor while watching the omega dash away from him in fear, yoongi could feel regret clawing at his chest in painful tugs.
pulling his hair in frustration, the black haired male slides down the wall. his eyes are tired, tears clouding his vision as he pulls his knees to his chest firmly before hiding his face.
it felt surreal almost, when he met hoseok for the first time in that cafe.
although yoongi had lost hope in mating, one look at the omega's doe eyes and he felt like they were meant to be.
it's stupid, honestly, just how fast he had let his guard down around the brunette but it's inevitable with hoseok smiling at him so gently.
there's a ringing silence in his ears, the faint noise of the omega's sobs echoing as he cries silently.

hoseok knew it was too good to be true.
he was always warned by his mother to never disobey an alpha, to always bow down and kiss any alpha's feet for mercy.
because that's the only way an omega can survive in this cruel world.
he had momentarily thought that his mother was wrong, that not all alphas are bad but instead, it was him who was proved to be wrong.
to be honest, hoseok had gotten used to the unfairness he had faced all along his childhood. he had seen the way his mother was treated by his late father who was also an alpha.
when hoseok was born an omega, his father had lost all the love he had for his mate. he had wanted an alpha as his pup but got a disappointment instead.
"papa, i love you."
"shut up."
"papa, i made you a drawing!"
"fuck off, mutt."
