Chapter 3: Y/N VS SHANG TSUNG

Just a heads up I do not own any of the Mortal Kombat Characters. The only thing I own is this fanfiction and the main character A.K.A You (Y/N). Please enjoy this next chapter. To be honest it's about time we kick some A$$ am I right? Anyway I'll stop boring you now so let's get into it!

Everyone had their eyes on you in shock, surprise, but also curiosity. No one could have anticipated the tournament starting off like this. The group of fighters and guards around the area couldn't take their eyes off of you.

But the one who was the most shocked was Shang Tsung. The Ancient Sorcerer who usually would have a evil grin on his face was now replaced with one of shock and curiosity.

He did not think you would challenge him of all people instead he thought you would have challenged one of the fighters around his throne. But instead you chose him.

Shang Tsung thought you were either very brave or very foolish. However he knew that you wouldn't kill him. After all he has to oversee the tournament until the final contestant had the right to fight him. This caused Shang Tsung to bring back his famous devious smirk. (I just got tired of putting in grin and decided to branch it out)

Shang Tsung: "*Chuckles* Are you sure your ready to fight me warrior? After all not everyone can best me in kombat." Shang Tsung said keeping his smirk.

Y/N: "Yes you filthy mongrel. I am sure. I may not be able to kill you in this fight but that will not stop me. I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE FOR WHAT YOU AND YOUR EMPEROR DID! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME!" You yelled with a scream that shook some of the people in their very spots.

Shang Tsung: "Hmm... You act as if I should know you. It doesn't matter though. Quan Chi! You will be my temporary replacement until I deal with this worm." Shang Tsung ordered Quan Chi with a smug look.

Quan Chi: "Yes of course." Quan Chi simply said while bowing.

While you were blessed with mighty power from the elder gods they decided in order for you to enter the tournament without Shang Tsung's excuse of 'He is far too powerful to enter the tournament' they took away half of your power in order for things to be fair. However you still were pretty powerful.

Y/N: "I have fought Sorcerers, Vampires, Warriors, Tarkatans, Shokan and even once a dragon. You compare to none of them. You're a pathetic excuse of a Sorcerer." You said with a stern voice not taking your eyes of Shang Tsung.

Both warriors got ready for kombat their feet placed firmly on the ground in their fighting stances. Shang Tsung raised his hand revealing a glowing green light that resembled a skull. Possibly a poor soul that he took.

You however kept your sword in your right hand while you summoned your shield in the left. Your sword's blade was white and gold and your grip of your sword was made of wood. Your shield was a metal medium sized kite shield with the edges sharpened and in the middle sat the symbol of a dragon. (Basically the dragon on the Mortal Kombat Logo)

Quan Chi: "Y/N VS Shang Tsung. FIGHT!" Quan Chi announced.

Shang Tsung released a flaming skull into you but luckily you blocked it with your shield. He then sent three more flaming skulls at you but you dodged each one and even deflected the last one back at it's owner.

Y/N: 'Nows my chance!' You thought to yourself.

You rushed at Shang Tsung with your sword and slashed him a couple of times however he dodged most of them and got hit in his right arm and in his left leg. You raised your sword for another strike but then the old man shot out a flaming skull at you which launched you a couple feet away.
