Baaaaam!!!!! (Men being blow around and scattered)
"Pierce, shots are firing!"

"Look out, we're surrounded!"

"Shots fired, shots fired!"

"RETREAT!"

Explosions were hitting the gravel around us, I was startled awake by all the yelling, I leaned up to see men running and yelling. A sudden explosion had gone off nearby me spraying dirty rubble everywhere, hitting my face. I could feel deep cuts on my face but the pain barely bothered me, I had rushed up to help my men. Gun fire was surrounding us, men getting riddled with bullet, the sounds of yelling echoing everywhere. I had limited control, barely anyone could hear me screeching to retreat, I looked around clearly we were being ambushed by men in big black armoured suits. This didn't make sense these are not nazis, these people had much more advanced technology. Blue lighting coming out of these enormous guns. These were not ordinary soldiers, we did not stand a chance.

My men were getting slaughter, the wounded were getting dragged and carted off in military trucks. I attempted to pull one of my men away from the sounds, his name was Johnathon he was only in his early 20s, he looked terrified.

"Ricks, Ricks, follow me"
Wed manage to hide behind some large willow trees but I assumed someone had seen us running and diving. Some soldier had turned with a machine gun facing the tree we were behind, I heard ringing sounds hitting the trees around us, it was expressing blue laser of some kind. I had no idea what it was.

"What the hell is that!"
"Ricks, no. Stay. Don't get up" I yelled trying to grab Johnathons vest. Johnathon jumped up, out of reach he was curious of the lights he'd seen.
"Get back here Ricks!" But it was too late the lasered gun hit Ricks, his body forced to the ground from impact. He laid just across from his eyes wide open, blood sliding on his jaw from his mouth and a giant gash on his chest, the hit had killed him instantly .

The soldiers kept shooting around us, I tried to hold them off as much as I could, but they took us out one by one. I felt a sudden burning pinch in my left leg looking down it was spouting blood, someone had reached me, I'd been shot. I dragged myself further away in agony, people were coming closer surrounding me. I held my gun to my chest leaning on another tree, anxiety and adrenaline was rushing through me my head, my only thought was of Mia and how I'd never see her again. This was something we could never have predicted, we were completely outmatched, I thought to myself "fuck I'm going to die"

"I guess this is" I muttered, pulling out a photo I had of Amelia. Her red hair was curled beautifully, I got it taken when we were at our favourite club for a night out. I held the photo tightly in my hand
