"Aerum!!When's our next meeting??" Jin asked as soon as she came downstairs. "You have to call my secretary for that" she replied and went to take a seat at the table. He scoffed and sat down to eat. She was checking her phone while eating, not caring about Jin's glares. "How come you have never told us that you were the CEO of Lee corporation??" Namjoon inquired. "And why should I tell you?" she asked looking at him with her brows raised. "Because we are your family" Jhope replied and she couldn't help but laugh hysterically. They looked at her in shock. "I am sure she's a psychopath hyung" he whispered to Jhope. He nodded to the maknae's statement agreeing. "My brothers??Waah. Did you even contact me the last five years??Did you even inquire to anyone whether I was alive?? No you didn't. You guys are not my brothers and this place is not my home!!" she said and left the table.
The table was awfully quite after she left. "We should have at least checked if she was alright there" Namjoon spoke out. "No, why should we??She went to her real family, I bet she was doing fine there" V immediately protested. "Yeah she's just trying to get in our heads" Jungkook said supporting Taehyung.
AERUM'S POV
I went inside my room and locked the door. I immediately fell down to the ground on my knees and my tears stared falling. I covered my mouth so that my sobs weren't heard. Those memories came rushing back.

FLASHBACK
5 years ago
I was still tied to the chair and I am still feeling numb. I wish someone just saved me. Help me get out of this torture. I looked down to my body and I can see all the stabs. I was bleeding to death at this rate. At least I can end this suffering...I heard the sound of footsteps and I am dreading for what's about to come. I saw the man who was the cause of all my sufferings walking down the stairs.

I was glaring at him, although I was weak. "Look who's still alive..I am actually quite surprised. You are one hell of a fighter aren't ya??" he said mockingly. I just stared at him. He continued, "I actually thought that your brothers would come for you but there was not even a single text!!" I just looked at him blankly. I was expecting that but it still hurts. "I actually feel pity for you. Poor Aerum...but that's your place in this world. You will never get a family or a home. No matter how hard you try, everyone will leave your side." He said while bending to my level. I spat at him. "You bitch!!" he took out his knife and stabbed my thigh. He twisted the knife increasing the pain. I screamed not being able to endure it. Once the pain started subsiding he pulled out the knife. He came close to my ears and whispered. "Don't worry..I won't let you die that quickly. I want you to suffer. And that's gonna be easy since no one's gonna come for you" he said and left me there.
END OF FLASHBACK
Those 5 years were something I wish I could just forget, but it always came back haunting me. I am never going to let my guard down. I stood up not wanting to waste my time crying, telling myself that past is in the past. I went to take a shower and started getting ready for work.
I was sitting at the living room and was going through some files for a meeting. I was really focused on my work when someone coughed, probably to get my attention. I looked up to see an unknown woman, "Yes??" I asked looking at her confused. "Get up, I want to sit there" I looked at her in confusion. I decided to go back to my work not wanting to waste my time. It clearly irritated her. "Yah!!Didn't you hear me??" she screamed. "You want this seat right?? Here take it. Oh god!!" I said and sat at another place. She looked at me in confusion at my reaction. "Yah you can go home now!!" Jimin came in and spoke to her. "But oppa I want to spent some time with you" she replied. "What happened was a one time thing, so don't ever come back to me" he replied rudely. "But oppa please, I really like you" she said persistently. "Yah get out, you slut!!" he pushed her. I looked at him annoyingly.

I stood up and walked to him, "Yah!!Park Jimin respect women, they are not things to be played with and if she's a slut, then that makes you a man whore" I said. He was furious and raised his hand to slap me. "Yah Jimin!!Stop!!" he was stopped by Yoongi. He had a tight grip on Jimin's hands. Then Jin came in, he ordered the woman to get out. "Jimin you have to start respecting woman" Yoongi scolded him. I just took my files and went out while they were lecturing Jimin. I was walking towards my car when the woman from earlier came towards me. "What do you want??" I asked frustrated. "I just want to thank you for defending me back there and I am sorry for earlier too" she said and bowed. She was a completely different person right now. "I didn't defend you, I just hate when anyone's treated like that. But I know you are after his money." I said, she just looked down. "How old are you??"I asked. "Well, I am 21" she replied. "Yah you are younger than me. You should start being independent and don't beg these damn idiots for money" I said genuinely concerned. "It's the only way I can earn money unnie..I don't have anyone to look after me" she said. My eyes softened, "What's your name??" I inquired. "It's Tzuyu, unnie" . "Come with me" I said and started walking to my car. From then onwards she became my personal assistant.

I couldn't just leave someone like her alone when I always wanted to go back and save my younger self. Tzuyu reminded me of my past self a bit.
