AUTHOR'S POV

Everyone was trying to process his words. He continued, "Mom and dad firmly asked you to stay here. If you move out now, it's going to cause us trouble. You can figure it out once they come back." He said and left the room, not giving anyone the space to talk. Aerum was left standing there. Normally, she would have rebelled, but she couldn't as it was the Min Yoongi. She just went upstairs without saying a word.

"What the fuck!!" Jimin exclaimed while everyone nodded. Even if the reason was convincing, Yoongi wasn't the type to tell people what to do and what not to do. Jin couldn't help but follow Yoongi to his office.

"Yoongi, what's going on in that head of yours?" Jin asked. "Hyung, I know we both have the same thoughts" he stated. "About?"Jin asked. "About what happened to Aerum the past five years?"

If Yoongi had suspicions, it was because he already knew something. "Yoongi what do you know?"

He signed, "Hyung 3 years ago, I was curious about where she was...so..You know I can find anyone with my hacking skills right??"

"Yeah" Jin was getting nervous, seeing Yoongis concerned face. "I couldn't find a single thing about her. It was like she disappeared. There was no trace of her"

Jin's eyes widened. That's not possible. Yoongi's hacking skill was incredible. No one could get past him. "How could there be nothing?? She went to college there"

"That's the weird part. There was never a student named Aerum in that college. In fact, the last trace of her was Seoul Airport"

Jin couldn't believe any of this. What happened to her?. "Why didn't you say anything"

"I did. I told mom and dad about it. They were concerned and they called her..."
He paused. "What.."

"The eerie part is she answered. I thought I was being delusional but there's no way I was wrong. Her recent behaviour just confirms something did happen"

I sat down on the chair, not able to take in any of this. "Why.. why didn't we care??" I asked to myself.

"I...I don't know but we always avoided her. Her rebellious antics were her trying to get attention. If we think about it, we know nothing about her."

"But if you think about it, mom never visited her during the past 5 years. She's her mother right?" Jin asked

"Hyung we shouldn't assume things without knowing the whole story. We made that mistake with Aerum"

"Yeah..Yoongi, I need some time then we will discuss what to do. Also don't tell the rest, especially the maknaes." He said and left feeling exhausted.

Yoongi sat down. He felt guilty, he should have done something. He knew that he didn't have any right to suddenly care about her when all he did was ignore her. But he genuinely liked her. He was always amused by her antics, so he carefully observed her.

He knew that every one of his brothers missed her in some way. She added excitement and anticipation to their dull lives. But that all changed during last month of her high school.  He still remembers that day clearly.

6 years ago

Yoongi was in the living room when he saw Aerum walk in. He frowned seeing her wounds. Her face was bruised. She definitely was in a fight.

"LEE AERUM!!You better explain yourself" Jin came in enraged. Aerum signed. On hearing the commotion, the others rushed in. They were equally suprised seeing Aerum's state. Mom and dad was not here, so Jin was in charge

"Please just leave me alone." She said trying to go to her room. Jin stopped her. "You are not going anywhere. Why are you always causing trouble!!! Can't you behave??"

"Jin I don't wanna fight!!Just leave me alone!!" She said annoyed. "Aerum we all are tired of your antics. You are tainting our family name"  Jin said, clearly frustrated. It was obvious something snapped inside her. "Since when was I part of this fucked up family?? I would rather die than be part of this" She said, leaving them speechless.

"This is exactly why you don't have a family!!" Jungkook said, mocking her. She turned towards him, "What did you say?"

"Jungkook.." Jin warned him. "No hyung...She needs to stop acting like a victim, when all she is a spoiled little girl." The next thing we see was her charging towards him and punching him. Namjoon had to physically drag her away from Jungkook.

"The next time you open your mouth, you will be left with no teeth." she barked. Yoongi hurriedly went to jungkook to see his mouth covered in blood. "YOU CRAZY BITCH!!" Jungkook screamed.

She got out of Namjoons tight grip and left the house. I had no doubt that she could actually knock jungkook out. That was the last time we saw her. Mom said that she just informed her that she was going to her other family.

End of flashback

Yoongi started feeling extremely guilty. He was reminded how she was so excited to meet them at first but they destroyed it for her. And the day she left was her day of graduation, no one attended it.

"I am so sorry...I should have done something"

I know I haven't been updating that regularly as I am really busy with everything. But I am gonna finish this book. When I started this book I didn't want it to have a lot of chapters. I don't know how this will go as I am still trying to navigate through the storyline. Please be patient with me.
