Putting all my books away, I closed my locker and walked towards the exit. Whispers rose and people made way for me, making me feel worse than before.
I don't want this.
I didn't let the frown show on my face, remembering how my mom reprimanded me for being unpleasant whenever I frowned.
"Ms Lee? The principal wants to meet you." One of the teachers stopped me from leaving, making my eye twitch.
I wanted to scream and throw a tantrum. It's been a long day filled with people whispering about me- both good and bad. I couldn't handle it anymore, but I was supposed to be graceful.
Excessive show of emotions is unnecessary. I remembered my mother's words.
I smiled politely before walking towards the principal's office.
Again, people made way for me. As I walked by, I could hear a few speak.
"I heard she insulted the principal, but he couldn't give her detention because she's from a rich family."
"I heard she slept with his son, and he wants to get them married so he can benefit from it. Her dad is the owner of the famous Azuke company. "
"What? No. She slept with the principal. Who wouldn't? He's so hot."
"Gross. Shut up."
"Tch. What a rich brat. Thinks she owns the place just because her dad is some fancy dressmaker."
"She's so pretty...I'd let her top me anytime."
"Gosh, I'm so jealous of her stupid little perfect face! I wish I was her. My boyfriend pretends not to check her out, but I can tell."
The teachers made the groups of students disperse as I rolled my eyes at these remarks.
How I wish people would mind their own business and shut up.
I knocked on the door and soon heard a 'come in'.
"Good afternoon sir." I bowed respectfully as I let myself in.
"Good afternoon Mira. Have a seat." He said as he went through a few papers.
I took a seat and waited rather impatiently. All I wanted to do was to go home and relax.
"I hope you're studying well?" He asked me, looking up for a minute.
"Yes sir," I answered.
"That's good to know." He nodded, and silence prevailed.
I was confused. Was that all he had to say? Why did he call me here just to ask that?
He stood up and slowly walked around before speaking.
"I'm sure you're doing great Mira. After all..." He said, brushing my brown hair to the side as he gripped my shoulder.
"...when did you not?" He bent down and whispered in my ear, making me freeze.
"Such a pretty girl..." He muttered, one of his hands trailing down slowly towards my skirt as he gripped my thigh.
I snapped out of my trance. Immediately getting up, I pushed him away before running as fast as I could.
I don't want this.
He didn't stop me as I ran out of the premises and quickly got inside my car, ignoring the rain.
"Drive," I said, breathless.
Without asking any questions, the driver started the car and drove away.
Sensing that I needed some privacy, he out up the black screen between us.
Shaking, I let out a sigh.
I was disgusted.
As soon as I reached home, I went straight to my room and drew a bath. After stripping, I got in the jacuzzi.
The water was the perfect temperature, but it didn't make me feel any better.
I started scrubbing my shoulder and thigh until it turned red and hurt, but I still felt like I couldn't pry his hands off me.
That bastard knew I wouldn't do anything. And even if I tried, my family wouldn't let me.
I sighed before closing my eyes, covering my face with my hands, ignoring the sting I felt. Physically and emotionally.
Why would my family help me?
I scoffed to myself as I poured some wine.
Why would they help when the guy who harassed me was my uncle?
