"This isn't a good idea." Sasuke shakes his head.

"We've done this once when we were genin, we can do it again!" She reasons, but she's right. Sakura was able to convince him to sneak out of the hospital and watch the fireworks a few years back, something she's trying to do right now.

The boy heaved a sigh, admitting defeat. "Alright."

They ended up getting caught by Kakashi and was sent back to the hospital.

Sasuke sits on his hospital bed, staring at the window. Then he hears the door open.

He doesn't need to turn around to know who it was, and sighed again. "I told you it wasn't a good idea."

"Well, we tried." She giggles, and went straight to his bed dropping off some snacks. He raised a brow.

"I thought you were getting scolded by Kakashi."

Sakura blinks, "Did you think of it that way? He made me buy snacks for us to watch here instead."

"Oh."

"Too bad we won't get to have a good view of the fireworks this year, oh! And if you're wondering where Naruto is, he's on a date with Hinata! Finally, that idiot's making a move." She chuckles.

Sasuke hums, simply listening to her chatter, like he's always done.

But then he remembered something, something he has yet to tell her but is dreading to do so.

But the clock's ticking, he doesn't want to hide anymore, at least... not to her.

"Sakura."

She stops, "Yes, Sasuke-kun?"

Sakura noticed the way his whole body tensed, and she knows that's not a good sign.

"I've... been thinking of leaving the village once I get discharged."

A pause.

"Oh."

Sasuke looks at her, but he didn't see a pair of green staring back, he only sees pink locks.

He continues, "With a reason. I want to atone for my wrongdoings, and see the world with my new perspective."

She doesn't answer immediately, but Sasuke waits, in hopes to hear her answer.

"...I see."

And Sasuke's heart bursts.

Because he felt her tone. She understood, and that she's okay with his decision.

She looks at him, eyes filled with emotions he cannot decipher at the moment, but he saw happiness in it, that alone made him smile.

She slowly sits on his bed, and hesitantly reached for his hand, Sasuke wastes no time and intertwined it with hers.

It's cute how he saw her cheeks go red, but it soon disappeared when she gave him a smile.

"I won't be stopping you this time, Sasuke-kun."

Sasuke's eyes soften.

"Sakura, thank you."

They share a tender kiss with the fireworks as the background.
