Last time, Sarada said she couldn't wait to learn more about her parent's relationship. She took that to heart.
So she waits for an opportunity where she can freely ask them questions, what can she say? With how people talk about their relationship (especially auntie Ino), it's only normal for the heiress to crave more information and stories about them.
Especially if she hears it coming from her own parent's mouths.
And today, seems just like the perfect opportunity for her to do so.
The three Uchihas are peacefully eating dinner, until Sarada broke the silence.
"Mama, Papa, I have a question..."
In this, the couple looks at their daughter, waiting. Sarada smirked.
"I've heard from a lot of people that you guys knew each other back in the academy."
Sakura raised her brow, "Sarada, we were in the same team as genins, of course we'd be in the same academy."
Sarada blushed. Okay so she didn't think this through, and decided to improvise.
"Well, yeah! But what I mean is...did you guys have chemistry before being a team?"
The pair stiffens, but Sakura covers it by snorting.
"Your father...was very hardworking as a kid, so he never had the time to interact with people." Sakura snickers as she sees her husband wince.
"I remember you running away simply because I was asking your name."
Oh, so Papa's not gonna back down this time.
The Uchiha matriarch blushes, "I didn't expect you would talk to me! I was embarrassed!" She puffed her cheeks, only for the two ravenettes to smile in response.
"Then what about your dates as teenagers?" Sarada asks again, surely they have something to share this time right?
"We barely go to any dates back then Sarada, your father was also...in a mission that time."
She looks at her Papa to see him slowly nod his head. This made Sarada slump in her seat.
"...When was the last time you guys had a date then?" She quietly asks.
"It was before I had to leave for my long-term mission." Sasuke answered this time.
"Then that was years ago!" Sarada almost screamed.
Sakura smiles, "It can't be helped, we've been busy with our duties here in the village so it's hard to find the time."
"Then I'll make one for you!" Sarada suggests, but she's confused as to why her parents simply smirked and shook their heads, declining her suggestion.
"It's alright Sarada, our late night talks is good enough." Sakura says.
A pause.
"...You sure it's only late night talks?"
Sasuke and Sakura chokes, "Don't make assumptions!" The pinkette squeaks while her father stares at a wall.
"Yeah...sure..." But Sarada still remembers the noises of a creaking bed last week.
'Kami-sama, how smooth of them.' She dreadfully thought.
