Sakura was sent on an urgent mission to aid the people at Sunagakure because of a spreading virus.

So Sasuke's gonna have to take care of their 7 month old daughter for the meantime.

"It'll only be for 3 days, Will you be alright?" Sakura asks as she kissed both her husband and daughter.

"Aa." He assures, Sarada clapping her hands in response.

His wife smiles at them one more time, and took her departure.

Sarada must have thought that they were playing peekaboo, because when her mama didn't came back-

She started to cry.

Sasuke sighed, he knew this was coming. He went inside the house with the crying baby to soothe her.

'This...is definitely going to be difficult.' Sasuke sweats.

-

The first day was utter hell.

Sarada wouldn't stop crying and Sasuke didn't knew what to do.

He tried every method possible, from rocking her, to feeding her favorite food, and hell- even singing.

It wasn't until he noticed his daughter's actions. The way her eyes darts around the room as if looking for something...or someone, and then it clicked.

Sarada must have been looking for Sakura.

Sasuke internally cursed because he didn't thought of this sooner.

With one swift movement of his hand, his body transformed into a replica of his wife. Sarada blinks for a few seconds, and started to giggle.

Sasuke sighs in relief.

-

The second day wasn't as bad as the first.

Sarada didn't cry as much, though if she does, he just transforms into Sakura again until Sarada calms down.

And while his daughter is in a happy mood, Sasuke took this opportunity to help Sarada with her first word.

So in every possible moment, he always tries to say the word 'mama' around her.

Sasuke enjoys it the most when he tells stories for Sarada.

"Your mama punched a God."

"Your mama is a great healer, she even healed my heart."

"Your mama had very weird cravings when you were still inside her tummy."

"Your mama's very beautiful, but I think you know that already."

And Sarada just listens, staring at him. Even if she doesn't understand what he's saying now, at least he can talk (or ramble) about Sakura without getting embarrassed.

"This is a secret between you and I." He chuckles and sent his daughter a wink, Sarada laughs.

-

The third day was just the same as the second.

It was rather calm, Sasuke would play with Sarada in the nursery, letting the time pass as they both wait for the pinkette's arrival.

"Mama will be home by tomorrow, are you excited?"

Sarada giggles into excitement that she accidentally threw the dinosaur plushie (she was holding) towards him.

"I guess you are." Sasuke quietly laughs, because he's excited too.

-

"Tadaima!"

Sakura hums as she closes the door, she got home earlier than expected. Supposedly, her estimated arrival should have been tomorrow morning.

But that doesn't matter, she wants to check up on her daughter and husband, she misses them.

Sakura quietly walks towards Sarada's nursery first, but saw no sign of her. She raised a brow.

She then proceeded to check on hers and Sasuke's bedroom only to melt at the sight.

There, she sees her daughter sleeping, her hands clutching on his clothes as she lays atop on his father. Sasuke on the other hand, has his arm wrapped around the small figure, to make sure she doesn't fall.

Sakura couldn't help but smile.

It seems she didn't have to worry much after all.
