Renly was the lord of Blackstone until his father got back. He was practicing with his sword which he named it "Dragon". The blade was made of the finest steel. The blade always shines in the sunlight. The grip was good, could be better and easy to handle. If he is lord of Blackstone, he had to fight like one, he always told himself. He got better everyday and his hands felled numb after practicing. He mother seemed to be impressed herself.
His uncle watched from a distance and Renly caught his eyes. His uncle smiled and give him a nod. Renly returned a smile and went be to his practice.
Renly ate some mushroom stew his cook made for him after practice. "Getting better and better, m'lord," said the cook pouring wine into Renly's cup. Renly smiled and said "Aye." The cook smiled and went back into the kitchen. The cook's name was Ambon and was forty-three years old. Renly liked Ambon. Such a nice guy, and I nice one to talk to, about how he got here and how he became the man he was today. Renly could use a story as he ate, but he could handle.
The big doors opened and made that horrible creek sound Renly didn't like. When Renly turned around it was his uncle.
His name was Andy Blake. He had black curly hair like Renly's father, brown eyes, and a smile the ladies loved.
Renly saw that his uncle shaved. Andy always had a mustache. Andy got closer to Renly and smiled. Renly smiled back and offered a hug his uncle accepted. "Uncle," said Renly while hugging him. They released and they both sat at the table. "Wine?" Said Renly offering. "Yes please," said Andy.
"Uncle, why you come see me?" Renly took a sip of wine. Andy smiled and said "What? I can't see my nephew?" Renly laughed a little. "Your getting better and stronger everyday Renly." Andy continued "You make a great lord Renly. I know it. I heard people say good things about you. That's a good thing. And your mothers out helping your sister learn the history of your fathers war." Andy looked at Renly and smiled. "I was in your fathers war. I fought beside him. He was a brave man, your father. He lead the attacks and brought his men to victory. You know the 'Battle of the Water' do you?" Renly knew," My father brought the battle on the water. On the Ice ocean, I believe. It took the enemy by surprised and didn't have enough time to prepare and my father won, killing the lord of Yetal. People from near and far cheered his name. 'Sean Blake, Sean Blake, Sean Blake."
"Aye, that's what made you father a powerful man. How he grew allies, and business." Andy took a sip and wine and continued," I see that man in you, Renly. A man of honor and great many things."

[Authors note: How you guys like it so far? The first three chapters are gonna introduce characters(mostly Renly) and stuff about the past that may turn out to be important. Tell me what you think about my book! Does it need more work or it's great or does it need to be longer (that's what she said). Idk stuff like that. Remember I'm 13 so what you read is what you get.
