A/N: Unfortunately, my gorgeous little dusties, this is the second-to-last chapter in this book. BUUUT if I get lots of comments about my undying amazingness then I will make a second one, set in the scorch trials, then a third in TDC, and maybe a short forth about all of us afterwards?? Kinda like a giant epilogue. Kay? Sounds cool? Good. READ ON MY DUSTBUNNIES!!! AND KEEP ROCKIN AS WELL! Also, if u want me to make a fic in the demigod world, lemme know!! Ooh, maybe I could do a Dr Who one as well? MASHUP!!! Tmr, PJ, and Dr Who, wadda ya think?

I run out of the Maze and Rush over to the gardens. Reece and Clint are over there with Kelsey, who is leaning over someone.
"Um, on a level from 1 to Gally, how freaked should I be?" I shout.
"Unicorn murder!" Kelsey shouts. I gasp.
"THATS WAY OFF THE FRIGGIN CHARTS!!" I shout. That's like ten past Gally on out chart of fear we made one day. I push through them as fast as I can, and what I see nearly kills me. Unicorn murder wasn't even high enough to describe it! This was like.... like..... hot candle wax!!! Newt is laying on the ground, in a pool of blood, whimpering. I scream. His finger is on the ground a little bit away, near a pair of gardening shears.
"OH GOD!! NEWT!!" I sob, tears rolling down my face. "CAN'T YOU SHUCKS DO SOMETHING?" I scream. They shake their heads.
"A-Adrienne?" Newt whispers.
"Newt, stay with me baby!" I sob.
"No, Adrienne. It'll be okay," he whispers.
"No, don't you friggin die on me now!" I howl. He smiles dimly.
"I-I," he stutters.
"Yes Newt?" I whisper.
"I AM TOTALLY FINE!!" He laughs, sticking up all ten fingers. I slap him across the face. Hard.
"YOU. SHUCKING. SLINTHEAD!" I shriek. He rubs his face.
"You-you hit me," He whimpers, a tear rolling down his face. I stare at my hand in horror.
"My god I'm a beast!" I sob, running away as fast as I can. I run deep into the Deadheads, find a tree that still has some leaves and climb into it, hiding. I sob silently, staring at my trembling hand. I take off my jacket and hang it in the tree, and bury my face in the teeshirt I'm wearing; his teeshirt. I inhale deeply, letting his scent overwhelm me. I am very little, and the shirt is huge on me. I hear footsteps on the ground not far from me. They are awkward and uneven, but not like Newt's footsteps. I glance down and see a dark brown head of hair, a head I thought I had lost. Thomas.

I hop down from the tree, just behind my frail twin.
"T-Tommy?" I whisper. He turns around and I run into his arms, letting all my tears flow.
"What? Adrienne, why are you crying?" He whispers. "Did Newt do something? Did he dump you?" He growls, becoming protective.
"I-I hit him, Tommy. I'm a monster. I AM A SHUCKING MONSTER!" I scream before collapsing into a crumpled up heap on the ground.
"I am evil," I whisper. "I am bad bad bad bad bad." I curl up in a ball and start kinda like rocking back and forth, chanting,
"Bad bad bad bad bad." I fall onto my side and stay there.
"Go away Tommy. I'll just hurt you. I'm bad. I'm bad and I'm evil and you should leave," I whisper. I hear him lumber away silently, but I do not hear the second set of limping legs. Newt sits down right next to me, his leg touching mine and our pinky fingers touching as well. I scoot away and turn my back to him.
"N-Newt, I-I'm just going t-to hurt you again!" I sob. He scoots closer to me.
"No, you won't. You were just upset and scared and I provoked you. It was my fault," he whispers, wrapping his arms around my middle and placing his chin on my shoulder. I catch a glimpse out of the corner of my eye. His cheek is red and swollen and it made me cry to see him.
"Adrienne," he coos. "If you don't forgive yourself, we'll never be able to hold the Gathering to tell everyone." I twist myself around in his arms, so that I'm facing him. I let my hand hover over his now bruising cheek, making sure not to hurt him. He takes my hand and places it gently there, wincing a bit.
"I-I will fix you, I promise. Then we can tell everyone," I whimper. He nods. I carefully lean forward and give him a very, very, gentle kiss.
"I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm such a horrible creature. I-I hit the most important thing in the world to me," I sob. Newt pulls me into him, and I cry and cry, soaking his shirt with tears.
"You are not horrible, and most certainly not a creature."
"Can we call the Gathering? Like, right now?" He nods.
"Carry me?" I say softly, and he nods again. He bends over and wraps his arms around me, lifting me off of the ground and carrying me out of the trees. I bury my face in his neck, letting tears roll down my cheeks and soak his shirt even more. I lightly kiss his neck and he freezes, just like I expected. I look up, a picture of pure innocence, and see that he's blushing, even through his bruise.
"Seriously, now?" He mumbles.
"Yes, now," I grin. He gives me a quick kiss on the lips, but I pout at him.
"Uh uh uh, you'll have to do better than that!" I quip. He gives an exasperated sigh, but obliges, giving me a long, passionate kiss.
"There," he pouts. "Happy now?" I nod and we call the Gathering.

TIMESKIP: AFTER THE GATHERING
We're all lined up in front of the Maze, with packs on backs full of supplies.
"Minho, any words of wisdom?" A voice calls from the group.
"Uh, I guess, run fast and don't die!" Minho replies.
"Great, we're all bloody inspired," Newt grumbles beside me, flashing a small grin, but I can tell he's nervous. We run into the Maze, dodging Grievers and incapacitating several. We jump down the hole and, as planned, run to Mainstreet to gather up it's inhabitants. We rush through the door and Newt gasps at the sight. It's all I can do to keep myself from bursting into tears. The buildings are charred and crumbling. The trees are dead and burnt. Burnt animal corpses, along side some human ones, are littered around. The sign is melted and looks like a melted candle.

It's all gone.

A/N: Woah, intense, right? WOooOooOOOoooAaAAaaAAaaah.
