Mordecai opened his eyes and breathed heavily. He looked around, quickly gazing at his surroundings. Perhaps it was 7 am? Who knows.

He got up from his desk chair, stretched his arms and yawned.

'What a strange dream..' he thought. Reaching for his phone on the desk, he tried to turn it on but to his dismay it seemed dead.

'Your serious?' He sighed and rubbed his temples, throwing the phone carelessly into his backpack.

As he reached the front of school, he just couldn't help but carry on with pondering on what that dream was about. Was he really that obsessed with her? She's just some random girl! He doesn't even know her name! Suddenly, like a message was coming from above, a flash of midnight blue hair ran past him towards the library. Without thinking, he followed the unknown girl.

He opened the library door and looked around cautiously.

'What a fast runner for such a nerdy girl or maybe I'm just not in shape' He thought, panting and breathing quickly. Out of his thoughts and back into reality he continued to search for her. There! She was just turning the corner of one of the shelves. It looked to be full of non fiction books. He slowly approached her prancing around acting as if he too was looking for a book.

'Oh shit! I don't know what to say, oh god oh my god!' He ran a hand through his hair and closed his eyes thinking hard, when a small voice was heard in front of him.

"Uhm, excuse me." He opened his eyes and looked down to see her! She was talking to him!

"H-Hello?" She waved a hand in front of his face which snapped him back into the real world.

"Can you move a little? You're in front of the book I want." She raised her finger and pointed to the top shelf he was in front of.

"O-Oh! I'm sorry." He nervously rubbed his neck and smiled wryly at her stepping away from the shelf. 'Crap. Good going Mordecai.' He mentally slapped himself and gazed at the girl. As she reached for the book he noticed she was struggling a bit. She reached out and went on her tippy toes in an attempt to get the book.

"Ah, let me help." he reached up with ease and grabbed the book, then handed it to her. 'How cliché.' he thought, sighing and rolling his eyes mentally.

"T-Thank you!" She adjusted her glasses and smiled at him. At that moment their eyes locked and it seemed as if only they were in this world. Moments after she blinked and snapped out of the trance.

"I-I'm sorry." she said flustered. Hugging the book with one hand she walked her way around him. Suddenly he grabbed her wrist, halting her. As she turned around her face was beginning to turn red.

"What's your name?" he said faintly.

She smiled softly at him.

"I remember you. You were the one I bumped into right?"

He nodded and let go of her wrist. She turned to face him fully and reached out her hand smiling at him once more.

"I'm Twilight. It's nice to meet you."

----------

The first days of school are always the easiest for Twilight. No homework, no stress, nothing too big. She walked up to the school and decided the library was a perfect place to relax before school starts. As she opened the doors of the library her mouth opened in shock. It was so big! What a dream come true! She skipped through the library shelves and peeked at every book on the shelf. 'It really wouldn't hurt to just pick out 1 or 2 books right?' She shrugged at the thought and started to pull out books from the shelves.

The 1st period was over, 2 reading assignments, 2 note assignments. She started to regret taking AP classes. However, her second period was prep so she just had planned to go to the library, complete her homework, and perhaps check out a few books. She skipped happily out of the classroom and made her way to the library.

Looking at the computer screen Twilight scrolled through her Doogle Docs and checked the notes she had typed. After a few minutes of editing and sidetracking, she was satisfied with what she had brewed up. She glanced at the clock and groaned realizing she only had 10 more minutes to either choose a few books or do her reading assignments. Obviously she had chosen to find books. There is no way in hell she could read 20 pages from separate books in 10 minutes! As she wandered around the library shelves she picked out a few books that looked considerably enjoyable to read.

As she took her sweet sweet time to pick out books the bell had rang, signaling it was lunch time.

'Eek! Lunch! Crap, I forgot about lunch! I'm supposed to tutor Spike!"

She quickly grabbed the books and brought them to the front desk jumping up and down waiting for the librarian to finish scanning them.

"Here are your books have a great da-"

"Yea thank you goodbye!!" Twilight scooped up her books and ran out of the library trying her utmost best to keep all her books in hand. Suddenly, she found herself on the ground with her books laid everywhere.

She looked up from the floor and saw a boy with blue hair and jet black eyes picking up her books.

'I haven't seen him around before...is he new?' she thought.

"I'm so sorry!" she said, looking at his face and back at the floor picking up her books.

"Ah, no worries. I should have looked where I was going."

He looked awkward and embarrassed.

"T-Thank you." She adjusted her glasses and blushed, taking the books from his hands and quickly running off.

'I'm so embarrassed!! Next time, look where you are going Twilight!! You don't have glasses for no reason!!' She huffed and pouted making her way to the tutoring rooms, hoping Spike wouldn't notice she was late. (meaning she hoped spike would think he came early)

"3 minutes late Twilight." Spike tapped the watch on his right hand.

'Drats!' She thought, closing the door behind her.

"What's up? You're never late." He raised an eyebrow and glanced at her. She looked like she had just run a mile.

"N-Nothing!" She dropped her books and backpack then took a seat in front of him.

"I just never kept track of my time in the library." she smiled at him anxiously.

'Half true..' She thought. 'I best not tell him about my little...erm...encounter?' Quickly she brushed away her thoughts and got out some pen and paper.

"Anyways. Enough about me." she laughed nervously. "Let's continue where we left off last time. Was it U.S. governments?" she looked at Spike who then nodded at her.

"Alright! Sounds good, yes yes lets begin." She then nodded back and began her tutoring.

Deep down inside she couldn't help herself from wondering if she'd ever see that boy again..
