Chapter 3: New Information

 The next morning, Mordecai woke up to the sun shining on his face. He grumbled placing a pillow on his face to block the sun. After almost 5 minutes in bed he decided it was time to really wake up and start his day. While Mordecai was getting ready for school he was thinking about skipping lunch with Rarity and her friends. Last night, he had completely forgotten to tell Rigby about the girl he bumped into, so today at lunch he wanted to talk with Rigby about it.

Me: Good morning Rigby, can we talk at lunch? I need to tell you something.

Delivered

Rigby really wasn't a morning person, so Mordecai wasn't expecting him to answer until later in that day. As he got ready, for the day he couldn't stop thinking about her.

'Who was she? Wait wait, stop thinking about her just hurry up Mordecai! Get to class...'

Mordecai was one of the first to arrive at class. He put his headphones on, and shuffled through his music. Trying to keep his mind clear and away from the girl, he leaned back in his chair and listened to his music for a few minutes before class started.

His first period class had just ended and he already had homework. He sighed and adjusted his backpack preparing to insert more books, paper and utensils.

He arrived early in the second period and decided it would be the perfect time to see if Rigby had texted back, and if he did he would text Rarity and have to cancel lunch plans with her and her friends. It would be okay though, right? After all, he's sure he would meet Rarity's friend or er.. Twilight another time.

Me: Good morning Rigby, can we talk at lunch? I need to tell you something.

Riggy: hey hellooooiii yes sure where do u wanna m3@t

Perfect! he smirked and messaged back.

Me: Ah, the small park on HoofGarden, yeah?

Riggy: sure seewu then :))))) f;)))

He laughed quietly at his friends 'emoji faces' before putting his phone away and getting ready for the second period.

Mordecai walked out of class and sat on the front stairs leading to the parking lot. Waiting for his friend,(who was always late believe it or not) Mordecai quickly texted Rarity saying he wouldn't be able to have lunch with them. She was a little upset but did say Twilight also had to cancel.

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a familiar voice in front of him.

"Mordie!" Rigby waved and grinned.

"Hey, what's up?" He picked up his backpack and walked towards his friend.

"Nothing much, let's get going. I know your lunches aren't that long." he smiled and walked back towards his car, Mordecai followed behind him.

They arrived at the cafe shortly. They ordered small drinks and light food before starting the conversation.

"So what did you wanna talk about?" Rigby took a sip of his tea and eyed his friend. Mordecai breathed in and prepared himself for what his friend was going to say. Probably something near

'Oh my god Mordie you should have told me about her earlier!!!! Hold on, what should your ship name be??! OH MY GOD!!' he chuckled at the thought.

"What's so funny?" Rigby was reaching for a finger sandwich.

"Nothing." he sighed and prepared himself once more without thinking of his friend's reaction. "Alright Riggy. Before I say anything, do not go crazy. I just need to get this off my mind. It's nothing more!" He took a big sip of his coffee waiting for Rigby's answer.

"Alright, I promise." The way Rigby's face looked at that moment seemed he would not keep his promise. Mordecai has been with Rigby for so long, he knows every face emotion of his friend.

"Okay.." Mordecai was hesitant. "So, yesterday I was minding my business and I bumped into some random girl before class." Rigby's eyes widened. "She was nerdy, but cute. Has midnight blue hair with pink and purple highlights. Big chunky glasses" Mordecai's eyes softened, and Rigby could see it clearly.

Rigby listened closely to his friend's words.

Rigby had a feeling he knew who this person was. Then it clicked! He did know who she was! Rigby grinned at his discovery. Oh ho, but was he really going to share that with his friend? Yes. But...not today of course. He wanted to play with his friend a little first.

"Ah.. she doesn't ring a bell. Rarity knows almost everyone. If she met someone new, she would have instantly told me" He shrugged and drank his tea.

'Sorry Mordie, you'll just have to wait a little while. Your patient, right?'

Mordecai had a gut feeling that Rigby was a little suspicious but he ignored it.

"Alright, I kind of expected a bigger reaction but that's cool. Thanks." Mordecai gave a small smile and continued to eat his lunch.

"Bye, thanks for lunch Rigby."

"No problem. Say hi to Rarity for me." Rigby smiled and waved him goodbye before leaving in his car. Mordecai waved his friend goodbye back although the car was already gone. He stuffed his hands in his pocket and entered the school walking towards his next class.

He thought again about what had occurred earlier in the day.

'Ah, I'm still surprised with myself that I really had the guts to tell him.'

He quickly shrugged the thoughts away and got ready for class.

'9 assignments?? For the second day of school? What a pain..'

He slumped his shoulders and wandered his way into the dorm building.

His homework that night lasted a full 6 hours! By 9 o'clock he was just barely finished with his assignments. As he gazed down at his phone, his eyes began to flutter shut.

'When will I see you again?' his arm reached out to grasp her wrist. She jumped at the sudden gesture and turned around to face him. Her midnight hair framed her face as a light blush spread her cheeks.

'Soon.' She then leaned down and kissed his cheek before walking away out of his sight.

He tried to scream her name but he didn't know her name. He tried to yell random words, but nothing would come out of his mouth. He was trapped in this white world full of silence and sadness.
