She sat on the cold ground, moving her fork through the almost inedible food on the white foam tray that sat on her lap. She let out a deep sigh, getting up and tossing it in the trash, where it belonged.
Scarlet felt as if she was slowing breaking. Like a wall that has been punched so many times, she just got weaker and weaker with every hit. She knew she was going to break soon, so she just decided to live life as she always has. All that she really enjoyed was the music that poured into her ears ninety percent of the day. It calmed her, not that it was soft orchestral music or anything, it was the fact that it was so relatable. She lived on because she knew that she's not the only one. She lived because she had seen so many people like her, become happy again, or who found that person who fixed them. All she wished for was somebody who could make her happy again, and maybe her pain wouldn't feel sempiternal.
