My Peace

I sat on the curb holding my head crying. My nose had stopped bleeding but my head was still pretty bad. All I could do was wait for Ethan. I still had no idea where Victoria and Sophia were and it was upsetting me.

Sophia hadn't tried to call me or text me but I guess she's drunk and enjoying herself so it's fine.

"Bella, it's me. Are you ok? Let's get in the car" Ethan softly spoke before helping me up off of the curb and into his car. I couldn't help but cry again. As soon as Ethan shut the car door we drove around the corner before he pulled over again

" Y/N let me look at you, I promise I'll be gentle" he said
I looked at him before turning my head to show him the worst blow. He gently moved my hair to take a look at it.

"We're going to the hospital ok?"
I said nothing, I was exhausted and mentally drained beyond return.

It wasn't far to the hospital but of course the wait was terrible. Ethan was talking to the nurses for me before we was given a number and was told to sit and wait. Ethan grabbed my hand and sat me down next to him.
I'm not sure why I didn't flinch at the touch of Ethan's hand but it was the first time in years I hadn't reacted to it.

"Should we talk about what happened?" He asked curiously

"I got very drunk, Vic and Soph left me so they could dance, a guy came over who made me really uncomfortable, he took me outside to talk, he has a girlfriend who wasn't very happy to see me and maybe thought that I had started talking to him so let me have the consequences"
I replied before sighing

I felt something towards Ethan that I had never felt before. He was so caring towards me for no reason. He didn't have to care this much about me but he did, and to be honest with you, I did too. I wasn't about to turn around to Ethan and explain I think I'm in love with him.
Instead I gently rested my head on his shoulder. He tensed at first but eased up.

That was us. We stood up and headed into to the room with the doctor.
Ethan let me sit on the chair while he stood next to me and explained to the doctor that I don't speak Italian so he will translate.

I think Ethan explained what happened to the doctor because he was in deep conversation with Ethan while checking my head.

"He wants you to have a Tetanus shot and stitches ok?"

I just nodded in agreement

The doctor prepared everything which set me off into panic mode. I wasn't good with medical things.
Ethan noticed and asked me to stand up, he sat down in the seat and patted his lap. I sat back down on his lap while Ethan wrapped his arms around me

"It's going to be ok" he whispered before I felt to Tetanus shot.
He move me over to the bed for my stitches which was beyond painful.

"All done!" He exclaimed before thanking the doctor on my behalf.
I took Ethans hand as we left. I felt his eyes on me right after holding his hand. I'm not sure why but I just ignored it.

We arrived at the house around 3:12am and all I wanted to do was go to bed.

We entered the house to see Damiano and Thomas on the sofa.
"Bambina! How are you?" Damiano hugged me and I hugged back. I think I'm warming up to the touching thing.
I briefly explained what happened. Thomas interrupted
"So where the fuck is Vic and Soph?"
Ethan looked beyond pissed

"Let them enjoy their night out! They're not use to having to care for a third person so it's fine"
I said.
"I'm going to bed, I really don't feel too good" I announced
I looked at Ethan and indicated for him to follow me.

I stripped out of my dress and got into my oversized hoodie and just kept my panties on. Ethan was facing the wall while I did so
"I'm done!"
He turned around and smiled
"adorabile" he said

We sat in my bed for a little Just watching a movie while Ethan made sure I wasn't sick

"I'm really mad at Vic and Soph for not looking out for you bella"
Ethan looked at me
"Well isn't it a good thing I had your number!"
"But still bella, this didn't have to happen to you, you've already been through so much so why add to it unnecessarily?"
Ethan looked so genuinely upset
I grabbed his hand off of his lap and kissed the back of it
"Ethan I promise you im just fine"
Ethan blushed intensely
I wrapped my arm around his and rest my head on his shoulder again

This was nice, I felt a fuzzy feeling inside and most importantly I felt safe.
Soon enough my eyes became heavy and sound clustered into one noise.
Ethane thumb smoothly rubbed my hand.

The bed suddenly started to feel lighter. I half woke up to see Ethan leaving
"Ethan?"
"Shit im sorry for waking you"
I briefly looked at the time
*6:45am*
"Please don't leave me" I whispered not caring if he heard it or not

He smiled so much. He placed himself back in bed and I placed my head on his chest while he held me protectively.

"Vic and Soph are still partying" Ethan said while I just giggled
"They're having a lot of fun I guess"

Ethan kissed the top of my head making that fuzzy feeling return
