Good Morning children! I have got some important news to tell you! So take a seat and quickly settle down so I can start!" Professor Flitwick squeaked during their Charms lesson.

After everyone was seated he said," I see Charms as a slightly easy subject than transfiguration which is very hard work. With Charms, there would be a little more leeway for a little more personal creativity! However, that does not mean that it should be taken lightly. Therefore, to place more emphasis on this point I have decided to appoint an assignment in which you all shall be working in pairs. This assignment will promote teamwork as well as what you all have learned so far! I suggest you all take this project seriously as it will be twenty percent of your yearly grade!"

Rose's hand shot up in the air.

"Yes, Ms. Weasely?"
"Please professor, what exactly do we have to work on?" Rose said in a way that reminded Professor Flitwick of a fellow student doing the exact same. Hermoine Granger of course!

"Ah, easy Ms. Weasley!" Flitwick chuckled. "I'm still getting to that point! As Ms. Weasley rightly asked, the assignment requires you all to come and practice various varieties of charms which we will be covering this year.  You will make notes, do practicals, and master the eccentric art of charms.  You will make note of yourself and your partner's performance which I hope shall improve drastically day by day of course! By the end of the year, I need a handbook, with all your practicals, and experiments together according to which you all will be graded."

"Sir, "Albus said. "Do we get to choose our or partners or..?"
"I'm afraid not Mr. Potter, however, rest assured that I shall indeed partner you all, without favoritism!"
"No professor, I didn't mean that!"
Flitwick chuckled again.
"Ok, time to pair you all up!"
He waved his wand and little notes bearing their partner's notes fell into their laps.

Rose opened her little note and saw the last name she would have expected to see on it.
Scorpius Malfoy.

"Sir, can I change partners?" Rose said as calmly as she could and trying really hard not to yell at the same time.
" I don't think so, Ms. Weasley, otherwise everyone would want to change partners!"
Rose swallowed.

Then she slowly got up from her seat and deliberately walked towards the table where Scorpius was sitting looking at the piece of paper which he was holding as if he couldn't believe his eyes.

This was almost like his dream come true...

"Out of all the people in this class, why did I have to get paired with you?!" Rose said.
"Hey! Don't look at me like that! It's not like I wanted to get paired with you!"Scorpius spluttered.
Rose rolled her eyes and took a seat next to him making sure to maintain a considerable distance between both of them.
"Well, when do we start?" Rose shot at Scorpius.
"I don't know! Whenever you want I guess, I'm jobless all day, every day anyways" Scorpius shrugged.
She rolled her eyes again.
"Your eyes are gonna pop out of their sockets if you roll them so much, Rose!" Albus said passing.
She sighed and said, "Fine, let's meet in the library tomorrow after dinner, around let's say... a quarter to eight?"
"Sounds good to me."
Those were the last words Rose could hear before the bell rang dismissing the class.
She nodded at him over the heads of all students coming out of their classes and made her way to the great hall.

"Al, Al! Guess what happened today! I think our plan might actually work!"
"What!? What happened? Which plan?"
"Don't tell me you actually forgot-"
"What!NO! I mean maybe-? Was I supposed to remember?!"

"I'm in such a good mood I'm not even going to yell at you for forgetting your own plan"

Albus flushed.
"Sorry, but I have a really bad memory!"
"I figured that out funnily enough," said Scorpius rolling his eyes.
Albus laughed.
"I'm just kidding Scorp! Of course, I remember! So what's the news?"

"Well, Flitwick made me and Rose partners which just presents a golden opportunity to extend my hand of friendship towards her! This way our plan will flourish even better!"

"Hmm...yes, but what you must understand is that Rose isn't a very trusting person, so I really don't think it will be that easy! And why are you using such formal English?"

"Don't worry Al! I got the skills!" Scorpius grinned."And I'm not speaking 'formal English'".
"Yeah right. Flourish. Hand of friendship. Golden opportunity." Albus scoffed under his breath.
