Chapter 21

She loves him but he loves her sister
He loves her but she loves his brother

Guddan was about to leave the place but was stopped by her sister.

Antara: Guddan, tujhe jaldbaazi me kuchh kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai. You can think and give this a chance, give Parv a chance.

Guddan: This is not happening Di!

She pulled her hand from her sister's grip harshly and moved away from her.

Antara: Ho kya gaya hai tujhe achanak se? Don't you think, Parv deserves a chance? A single chance, Guddan? There's nothing wrong in that.

Guddan: Di please, mera decision change nahi hone wala, even after giving him a chance. So, it's better if we just don't waste our time in it.

Antara: Just think about him once Guddan. He really loves you.

Guddan: But I don't Di! Why don't you understand this?

She yelled at the top of her voice being frustrated with everything happening around. Firstly, she received a heartbreak by not receiving love from the person she loves. Secondly, to add more to her misery, the person she loves, loves her own sister. Lastly, the brother of the person she loves, loves her.

Antara: Guddan, shaant ho jaa, please. Listen, I know you are reacting like this because you weren't prepared and this was all unexpected but we can think about this patiently. We needn't hurry about it. You need not just decide anything in haste. Tujhe yaad hai, tu hamesha kehti thi na ki tu hamesha mere saath hi rahegi, shaadi ke baad bhi. Tu to kehti thi na ki jis se bhi meri shaadi hogi tu bhi usi ke bhai se shaadi kar legi taaki ham donon ek saath ek hi ghar me rahenge, to ab tu kyun aise kar rahi hai. Ek baar achhe se soch to, ham hamesha saath me rahenge aur Parv to bohot achha ladka hai. I am sure wo tujhe hamesha khush rakhega.

Guddan: Ho gaya aapka? Wo baatein bachpan ki thi Di. Uska matlab ye nahi tha ki mai aise hi kisi se bhi shaadi kar lungi, khaas kar ke aise insaan se jisse mai pyaar bhi nahi karti.

Antara: Agar aaj pyaar nahi hai to kabhi na kabhi ho hi jaayega. Is ghar me sab kitne khush honge is rishte se.

Guddan: Meri khushiyon ka kya Di? Wo aapke liye koi maayne nahi rakhte na? Aapko sirf Parv ki aur is ghar ki padi hai. Is ghar ki bahu banne se pehle hi aap saari zimmedariyan nibha rahi hai. Abhi sirf Akshat ne aapko propose kiya hai aur aap ko meri khushiyon ka, meri feelings ka hi khayaal nahi hai, jab aapki shaadi ho jaayegi tab to aap ye bhi bhool jaayengi ki aapki koi behen bhi hai. Mai to aapke liye mar hi jaaun....

Antara slapped her for even thinking like that . The family was shocked looking at the sisters. They always found them loving and caring towards each other all the time.

Antara: Dimaag kharaab ho gaya hai tera? Tujhe khud samajh me aa raha hai ki tu kya bol rahi hai?

She moved closer to Guddan but Akshat pulled her back trying to calm her.

Guddan: Thankyou so much for this beautiful day!

She yelled at them and left the place. Antara burst out crying remembering Guddan's behaviour. All she wanted her sister to be close with her throughout her life. She couldn't trust anyone with her sister's life, she had only Guddan left from her family. Akshat tried to calm her down but her cries weren't stopping. He felt that Antara was wrong here and not Guddan but still he wanted to be her side not making her feel left alone.

Parv stood at a corner trying to grasp everything that happened. Mahesh stood numb not knowing how to react. While Jaya was happy for one of her sons but was sad for the other. She was happy that Antara too loved her son and would be a part of this family as well but she disliked the fact that Guddan didn't reciprocate Parv's feelings. According to her, her son didn't have any defect to be rejected by Guddan. She decided to look into this matter herself later on.
