A few months later Jayne's family were all coming by to pick her and Ricky up to drive over to the last day of the Olympics in London. It was baking hot and had been an amazing summer in Britain. There was a great sense of national pride all over the country during July and August while the games were on.

"You ready?" Ricky asked.

"You bet!" Jayne grinned and gave him a high five. "I'm so excited!"

"But you hate sport!" he laughed.

"Yeah but there's been so much love around lately." she shrugged.

"Whatever you say dear." he nodded.

As they sat in the car on the way to the stadium Jayne looked out the window and thought through her plan for that day. She didn't quite know when or how to do it but she needed to do something important.

As they got to the huge park their car had to be checked over by security then once they were parked and they had to be checked again. She was quite impressed by the amount of checks and how thorough they were but she was also a little on edge that they would give her secret away if the small box in her handbag was picked up by metal detectors. She put her handbag on the conveyor belt for the scanner and then stepped through the arch way body scanner herself.

"Excuse me madam, is this your handbag?" a lady in uniform asked on the other side of a desk. Jayne nodded. "I need to look through it if you don't mind." the lady continued.

"Ok but there's..." Jayne paused to see if Ricky was in earshot. "There's a... umm... little box with a ring in."

The woman frowned at Jayne as she checked the bag. Much to Jayne's horror the woman pulled out the box and opened it.

"I'm going to propose to my boyfriend." Jayne explained quietly. "He's the shorter one right behind me."

The woman nodded, closed the box and put it back in the bag. Just as Jayne could let out a little sigh she felt a hand on her back. She gave a little gasp of fright but realised it was only her brother.

"I thought you were Rick." she smiled. "The secret was nearly out."

"What secret?" Fred asked.

"You're ok to go ahead. Enjoy your day. Good luck." the security woman smiled.

"Good luck with what?" Fred asked, getting more intrigued as they walked away.

Jayne steered him out of earshot from the others. "I'm going to propose to Ricky at some point. I don't know when but when we find the right moment I'm just going to take him off somewhere nice and ask him." she whispered.

"That's great! I can help with that. Give me the nod and I'll distract the others while you sneak off." he nodded.

"Why are you sneaking off?" Ricky asked as he grabbed her hand.

"Jesus!" she gasped with fright. "You gave me the fright of my life!"

"Sorry darling. I just saw you and needed to take your hand." he apologised.

"This time tomorrow we'll be coming back cose Mr Cool here's singing at the closing ceremony." she told her brother. "We're not supposed to tell people so keep it quiet."

"I'll tell dad then!" Fred joked.

"Oh god no!" she laughed. "He's such a gossip!"

They spent the afternoon looking around the park, watching people dancing and having fun. They were having dinner when the possible moment for Jayne to take Ricky aside arose.
