Shattered

It was the first day of your sophomore year, but at least you weren't alone, you have you're friends, and of course your brother John B and his friends. "Maddie!" You hear that familiar voice yell in your direction. Your best friend Leah ran up to you and gave you such a big hug. "What's up shit head?" You ask teasing her a little bit. Just as she was about to answer your brother and his friends walked by you. "Watch your mouth Mads." John B said with a stern finger pointing straight at you. You gasp in fake shock and apologize. "Oh dear, I am so sorry my darling brother, however will I recover from such a phrase?" Just as you finished his two guy friends were cackling and his friend Kie gave you a high five. John B rolled his eyes and started walking to class, all of his friends following. You kept your eyes on the blonde as he walked away. You knew it would never happen, but it was fun to dream. "Is she drooling over that idiot again?" Another friend named Chloe said arriving next to Leah. You snapped out of it just in time to hear her statement. Once it processed you hit her in the arm. "He's not an idiot." "Oh so thats the one thing you worried about Chloe saying." Leah started to giggle which caused the other girls to do the same. Every year for the past three years, the girls would show off there outfits to one another.

"I'm really diggin the outfits today ladies." Chloe said just in time for Maya. "Yeah I love the outfits girls, where did you get them from? I bet they were old hand me downs." She giggled along with her minions. She was the bitchiest girl in their grade, some of her friends didn't even like her, they were just trapped. "Just shut up and move along princess." You spoke up. "Excuse me? What did you just say to me? What did she just say to me?" Maya question. "How about you get off your fucking high horse, quit acting so special and take a hint, no one likes you. Move along princess, you are not wanted here." You said getting in her face. This was not the first time you have had to tell her off, you are kinda getting used to it now. She huffed and started to speed walk in the other direction. "I swear one day all hell's gonna break loose and you are gonna rip her fucking extensions out." Chloe said. "Today could have been the day, but I want to have a nice first day with my girls." The bell rings and you all walk to your first period.

Time Skip

You were back at the chateau with John B, JJ, Pope, Kiara, Sarah, Leah, and Chloe. You were all just checking up on how the first day went for everyone. It seemed to be pretty good for everyone, but then Chloe started to tell everyone how you decided to call out the mythic bitch. Everyone clapped for you so you stood and took a bow. "So proud of you Adi." JJ said which made you blush a little because he was the only person you let call you Adi. "Yeah we really are Mads, stand your ground." Kie said from her spot in the corner. "Thank you everyone! And hey does anyone wanna catch a movie I'm bored and have nothing else to do tonight." You asked everyone. "I'm sorry I already have so much work from my honors classes." Pope said. You frowned but nodded and he headed home. "We can't either we have, plans." Leah said standing up with Chloe. You knew damn well they had nothing to do but just kept quiet as they ran off. "That leaves you four." You said. "I'll go, I have nothing better to do." "Yay movies with big bro!" you said laughing and going to side hug him. "I guess I can" Sarah said to us. "Sure" Kie said. "Might as well." JJ said the last response. Yay I'm the 5th wheel. Sounds great.

Time Skip

We got to the movies and decided to watch an older one they were showing. Night of the Living Dead or something like that. We all sat down and my spot was on the right side of Kie.
Just as the movie was about to start we all hear a phone go off, it was Kiara's. "Sorry guys I gotta go, my parents are mad that I haven't gotten home yet. I'll see ya. Have fun." We all waved her goodbye. I look over to see the empty seat between me and JJ. I really wish I had the guts to scoot over into that seat, but he beat me to it. "Hey we might as well be alone together." He giggled and pointed to your brother making out with Sarah. You made a fake 'yuck' face in their direction which caused JJ to laugh. "So what's new Adi?" JJ asked out of nowhere. "Nothing much, same old me." "Well that's good, got any crushes or anything?" He asked, but why did he ask? "Why do you ask?" You blushed. "Well you're like a sister to me, I gotta protect you, and if you like anyone I could tell you if it's worth it or not or if they are dangerous." At that moment your heart sunk, you tried to push back the tears welling in your eyes, good thing it was dark in there. "Oh yeah. Well I mean there was this one guy but I don't know about him anymore." You said in such a sad tone. "Who is he? And why not anymore? Are you okay, you sound sad." "I'm not going to tell you, and because I'm not allowed to, and eh, it's just a weird topic." You answered. "Not allowed? Like John B said you can't like him or is it, ohhh, wait no pogue on pogue macking...is it Pope?" He asked, wow he's dumb. "John B would never let me even get into the talking stages with this guy. And no it's not Pope, he's like a brother." You said. "I'll get it out of you." JJ said confidently. "Why do you care so much?" "I already told you I have to look out for my little sister."
