So- Um Its been a couple months heh? Okay more than a few months- But still... Im hoping to post this one before the end of January but no promises

"Percy?"


Annabeth didn't know what to think, how to react. She had tried so hard to hold herself together over the last few years. She had done so well -at least she liked to think so. Percy had been her anchor, her life. Throughout the years, Annabeth failed to recognise just how much she had begun to rely on Percy as a comfort, a hand she could always come to hold. That had been stripped away from her for months on end, only for her to get it back and be plunged into hell, literally. 

And now, she was watching as the sweet boy she first met changed. Maybe Annabeth had simply failed to notice the small shifts throughout the years. But here it slapped her in the face, clear as day. Percy had always done his best to save lives, he never killed when he didn't have to. Sure, this was an act of self-defence. But the viscous pleasure he took from torturing Misery shook Annabeth to her very core. The amount of stress she had suffered became to much when pressed by this sudden action. A small whimper came from her lips, then another, followed by a sob, a few tears, legs shaking, hands sweating.

Before long, Annabeth (in all her misty, corpse-like glory) was sat on the ground, watching as Percy moved towards her, uncertainty clear in his eyes. He sat down beside her, hands hugging his lightly shaking knees. In silence, Percy moved his shaking hand towards Annabeth and pulled her into a tight hug. The tiny flinch hit Percy like a ton of bricks. He didn't quite know what to do or how to react; he just let Annabeth clutch to his back like it was her life line. 

(So im writing this like a year after i last touched this, its never gonna be finished but i might as well publish it)
