"Paige wasn't in Spanish today. Yo hablo sicko." - Hanna Marin
We were all in Spencer's house watching the news. Apparently, Spencer and Hanna searched through Paige's bag the other day and found the same earring Aria found. And now they think Paige is 'A'. I was currently on the phone with Emily wondering when she was coming over.
"Jury selection is expected to conclude today, and defense attorney Veronica Hastings made a statement to reporters this morning."
"My client is emotionally exhausted. But he's relieved to know that he's finally going to have the opportunity to clear his name." Mrs. Hastings says to the news reporters.
"How did this get so big? I mean, it's like all eyes are on Rosewood." Hanna says worried.
"I can't help but think that Toby took that job in Bucks county just to avoid all of this." Spencer says annoyed.
I sigh as I walk back to the girls. "Emily's taking the long way, because reporters are hounding her for interviews." I explain to them.
"Okay. How are we gonna do this?" Spencer asks worried.
"Well, Emily thinks she is coming over here so we can apologize." Hanna explains to us.
"But when she realizes what this is, she'll be more mad at us than she was before." Hanna says worried.
"I am not looking forward to seeing that." Spencer says worried. "Well in a successful intervention, the loved one feels safe, not judged." Hanna explains to her.
"Great. Right, so we'll start out all warm and fuzzy, and then we just have to hit her with the truth." I say clarifying the situation.
"Yeah. And that's your cue." Hanna says as she points to Spencer.
"Okay, so... Paige was jealous of Ali, we know that Paige was jealous of Maya, and she was with Emily that night, it was easy for her to set us up." Spencer explains to us.
"Right. And she has the other earring. So she must have Ali's body, right?" Aria asks for clarification.
"Yeah." Spencer says in agreement.
"I don't get it. If Paige was so into Emily, why would she drug her? And then why would she drug herself?" Hanna asks confused.
"Han, I thought we were on the same 'A' page here." Spencer says annoyed.
"We are. This is a practice run." Hanna says annoyed. "Right, okay. Uh, drugging yourself is the best alibi ever. Classic Sharon Stone move. Remember that movie? Basic Instinct?" Spencer asks us.
"No." We all say in unison.
"She wrote a murder mystery novel to cover up a crime that she was about to commit." Spencer explains to us. "It was actually kind of genius."
