"Well, silence your inner Oprah, okay?"
- Caleb RiversIt was the next day when we were all siting together at the Brew. Aria was telling us how Ezra left to go meet his kid. "Nothing?" I ask worried.
"Nothing since he left. Well, he sent an "I got here" text." Aria says annoyed. "Well, that counts... If you want it to." Hanna says nervously.
"I mean, I know he's doing the right thing, it's just the idea that something's happening hundreds of miles away that's gonna change everything." Aria explains to us.
I take a deep breath as we all stay silent. "This is cold. I'm just gonna get a refill." Spencer says as she walks off.
"I'm worried about her. She hasn't been the same since they've broken up." I say sadly. I sigh as I turn to Emily. "Do you think Wilden read that notebook by now?" I ask curiously.
"He must have." Emily says as she shrugs her shoulders.
"So he knows what we know." Aria clarifies to us. "And what exactly do we know?" Hanna asks confused.
"Just Cece's version of things." Aria says nervously. "I don't trust anything that Cece says." I say annoyed.
"There was a picture of him in Cape May." Emily says ignoring me. "I'm going back to the police station after school, take a snap of it on my phone." She explains to us.
"What's Jason doing here?" Aria asks confused.
I raise an eyebrow and turn around to see Jason walk over with Spencer. I smile and get up from my seat as I walk over to Jason. "Hey babe." I say as I peck him on the lips. "What are you doing here?" I ask curiously.
"I've got some news." He says as he wraps his arms around my shoulders. "We're keeping it quiet, but they've released Ali's remains to my family." Jason explains to us.
"There's gonna be a re-interment." He says as he turns to me. "She's being buried again?" I ask confused.
"Not in the ground. In the mausoleum." He clarifies. "There'll be a service, family only, but I've arranged for you guys to have some time after my parents leave." He explains to us.
"Thank you." Emily says with a small smile.
"There's something else. The things we put in the casket with Ali, they're still missing. The state police think whoever opened the grave is keeping them as some kind of sick souvenirs." Jason says annoyed.
"The cops figure when they find those, they'll find the creeps who did this. I think they're right." Jason says as he rubs my back in comfort.
"Look, I just wanted you guys to hear it from me. I'll text you when I know more details about saying goodbye to Ali." Jason says as he pecks my forehead.
"Don't bother. I've said all the goodbyes I've wanted to say." Spencer says firmly.
"Spencer." I yell concerned. "What? She's saint Ali now? Are her bones fully relics or something?" Spencer asks annoyed.
