Lucky (BAKUGO X READER)

Strange happenings

Since I trained with him last week I've taken an interest in Monoma's quirk. His isn't all that similar to mine, but mine has similarities with his. We can both "draw blanks" and they both have to do with other quirks. And just the same as him the rule is one at a time.
Sometimes we talked to each other in the lunch room
"Know what kinda sucks about your quirk though? In a situation when you can only use your opponents quirk they have the advantage because they've used their quirk before," I said this thinking about my own quirk
"You're not wrong. Sometimes I copy the quirks of classmates I team up with and practice with their quirks... but it is hard work," Monoma sighed
"I bet. So do you think you could copy Setsuna's quirk from your class?"
"I've done it before. Can't do Shishida though, that ones the beast," he leaned back and let out a sigh, "thinking about it now, i can't understand why your power was a blank. It should've been as easy to use as Bakugo's explosion. And the whole pain thing, nothing like that's ever happened before,"
"Yea super weird...don't ask me though, must be something wrong on your end," I wanted to cover myself from any suspicion
"Right, sure," he went along
"Anyway why don't you come sit with us? We have space," we looked over to where Bakugo already was sitting
"I could think of better places to sit,"
"Oh yea, never mind then. Bye Monoma!"
I went over to sit with the group I usually eat with and set down my lunch
"Y/n you're here! After school  let's get a workout in," Kirishima exclaimed with his mouth full
I agreed and lunch went by quicker than usual

Next class of the day was with Ms Midnight. I figured I would let her know I was definitely going to drift off today
"Uhuh...well y/n I know you'll try your best to stay awake during todays lesson," Midnight very slightly raised a brow
"Your scent affects me just as much, I can't help it I'm hypersensitive,"
She smiled
"You may want to participate today,"
I took my seat and thought to myself how unlikely that was
She teaches modern hero art history...and I totally don't get it
"It's hero informatics," Aizawa chimes in with whatever that means
Wow did he really think him saying that would actually make a difference. That makes me want to laugh
"Okay," I said feeling amused. They all but beg for me to participate actively in their classes. It doesn't matter I always get top grades anyway so I don't know why they care. This won't matter when I'm a hero and neither will English class.
I start spacin out as the teachers are talking until I heard "internships" and perked up. Some of us were scouted and I had some offers. I went through the rest of the days classes sifting through the options in my mind.

"Did you pick an agency to do your internship with yet y/n?" Ochaco and I talked at the end of the last class
"Not even close. Did you?" I questioned
"I'm thinking about interning with the battle hero gunhead but not officially,"
"Oh woww that would be so cool I love when you show your tough side,"
"It would be fun if we went to the same agency," Ochaco sighed
"Yea gunhead's agency didn't make me an offer though," I half frowned
"We can look at your options together tomorrow,"
Mina told me she thinks Uraraka has after school plans with Deku so I just say I'll see her tomorrow and get on my way to change in the locker room
...
"Y/n you ready?!" Kirishima sounded excited for training as he waited outside the girls locker room
"Ready!" I tried to match his energy
We went to the first year lockers to swap our shoes out for the ones meant for walking outdoors. When I opened my locker it was emptier than I left it
"...the heck? I can't seem to find my outdoor shoes," I confirmed this was the correct locker
I definitely came in wearing them.
"That's weird. Do you think someone took them?...by accident maybe," Kirishima asked
"Maybe I mistakenly put them in Uraraka's locker this morning," I checked as a last resort, "I guess they're gone, I'll just wear the ones I have on for now and get a new pair," I shrugged
"I'm sorry y/n I wonder what happened," he scratched his head
"It's such a bummer those shoes were really cute too,"

We moved on and started walking to ground beta.
I saw Ochaco and Deku still in school uniforms walking in the same direction
"Hey you two," I called out
The pair seemed to be slightly caught off guard
"Oh hey it's Midoriya and Uraraka! Where you headed?" Kirishima chimed in
"Ground beta. Cementoss promised us extra credit in modern lit if we came and cleaned up around the place after some third years used it," Deku answered as he beamed
"What about you y/n? Extra training with Kirishima?" Ochaco asked
"Yea that's right. I didn't know you guys were going to be there too, it'll be fun," I respond
