"Who'd you guys get as your partners?" Bebe asked as soon as Wendy and I sat down at the lunch table. "Ender got paired with Kyle."
"Lucky bitch," I cursed at Ender. I was mostly joking but also a bit not. Ender furrowed their eyebrows in confusion. "I got Kenny."
"Oh, well, he's really not that bad. Especially if you're thinking of all the rumours that people have spread," they said, their eyes widening at the thought of all the rumours they've heard. "But, I used to hang out with him at my house. He normally isn't super flirty or perverted unless he's around the other three."
I sighed. He did seem like that based on our call the day before. That easily could've just been because we were on the phone though and not in person.
I felt kind of bad thinking so badly of him just because of rumours I'd heard, but rumours were everyone's reputations. If somebody has bad rumours surrounding them, it's likely for them to be bad in some way.
"Who'd you get, Wendy?" Bebe asked, slightly rolling her eyes at me. I didn't really like Bebe very much, not just because of her rolling her eyes at almost everything I said and being annoyed at mine and Wendy's friendship, but she could also be a bit controlling and bossy at times. Other than that though, she was cool.
"Stan."
"I'm guessing you think Wendy is a lucky bitch too?" Ender asked with a smile. I nodded and the three of them giggled.
"Let's stop talking about project shit. That's boring. Bebe. Updates on you and Clyde?" I asked. They had been dating for a few months and we got biweekly updates.
I wasn't super interested in it, but it gave me a chance to zone out and just think about things. I never really participated in these conversations anyway so it wasn't suspicious at all. Plus, it was the most interesting thing for us, more them, to talk about. At least since Stan and Wendy had quit their on and off thing and settled on just being friends. That wasn't really something that anyone expected.
What was expected after Stan and Wendy broke up for the final time, though, was both of them coming out as part of the LGBT+. Stan came out as gay and Wendy came out as bisexual. Stan took a few months to come out after they finally finished things off, saying that he didn't want to make it seem like he was gay because of Wendy.
They were still on good terms though. Wendy didn't take it personally at all and they still talked pretty often.
Bebe blushed and glanced over at Clyde, looking back at us as she noticed him already looking at her.
"Nothing new, really. I can't believe you girls are still interested in the lame stuff that goes on between the two of us," she said.
"It's the most interesting shit we got," Wendy said with a shrug.

"Hey, McCormick, do you wanna come over to my house to work instead of working over call? It would probably be easier," I suggested as we were waiting for the bell to ring to release us from the last class of the day.
"Are you sure you trust me to not be a flirty pervert?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. I sighed and inwardly groaned.
"Are you really not gonna let that go?"
"No, I'm not. But, yeah, we can work at your house," he said, adjusting his bag and glancing at the clock on the wall. I gave him a small smile, kind of happy that I could keep him out of his seemingly argumentative house. "Are we just gonna walk there or...?"
"Nah, my ma has her break about now so she'll drive us back to the house," I said.
The bell rang and Kenny followed me to the front of the school, where my mom was waiting in her car.
