"Hey, Kenny," I said with a smile as I sat down next to him. His friends stared at me with confusion painted on their faces, but Kenny waved.

We had only been hanging out outside of school, but I'd gotten into an argument with Bebe. She'd been annoying me so much more and I didn't want to sit at the same table as her and risk another argument. Normally I'd just suck it up because I had nowhere else to go but I finally had a friend outside of the friend group, so I didn't have to deal with it.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Cartman asked, raising an eyebrow. I raised an eyebrow back at him.

"Sitting down?" I asked, with a little laugh to show that my nerves were taking over.

"Why? Go sit with your fucking preppy ass friends," he said, glaring at me.

"My friends aren't preppy, dumbass. I'm friends with Bebe, Wendy, and Ender. And I'm sitting here cause I'm friends with Kenny," I said. Cartman seemed to have a look of realization and I heard Kenny let out a small groan. Kyle and Stan had both hardly glanced at me.

"Oh, so we're finally meeting Kenny's new girl toy. How long do you think you're gonna last, huh? Few more weeks? Couple more days?" Cartman asked. I furrowed my eyebrows, confusion running through my veins.

"I'm his friend, dude. I'm not some girl toy," I said, rolling my eyes at him. "Don't be a bitch."

"Just ignore Cartman. He's an asshole," Kyle said, finally acknowledging me. "What's your name?"

"Dude, she's been in our classes for years," Stan said. Kyle rolled his eyes.

"We literally don't talk to her, Stan. How am I supposed to remember her name?" Kyle asked.

"It's fine, Stan. Name's Y/N. Nice to meet you guys," I said with a smile before turning to Kenny. "What's up, Ken?"

"Not much. I'd like to come over and take you up on that offer, though," he said. "Can I?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. After being around him for a while, it'd gotten easier to understand him with his hood up, but it was still difficult at times.

"Of course. What happened?" I asked. "If you don't mind telling me."

"I'll tell you later," he said. I nodded before noticing that he didn't have a lunch. He saw me staring at him in confusion before tilting his head.

"Do you want a sandwich?" I asked quietly. He glanced away for a second before nodding slightly, as if he didn't want me to see.

I handed him the sandwich that my mom had packed for me. It was the only one, but Kenny needed it more.

A thought popped into my mind about asking my mom about Kenny's family, he still hadn't talked to me about them, but I pushed that aside for later. I didn't think that I would end up doing it though.
