Seeing You

• chapter 20 •

"Yosh, good work everybody!"

"Thanks Coach!"

We all sat in front of Coach Ukai as he's starting to discuss everything that we've gathered and learned before the interhigh.

"I'm sure everybody of you had the same goal of winning the interhigh. Now that you've trained and even played against a college team, I'm looking forward to where our team can go further. Always stay focus and read the play, okay?"

"RIGHT!"

Takeda-sensei gave the paper to Coach that has a bracket of the teams that will be competing.

We all huddled up to see the teams on the paper, even If I knew it already and my face where full of excitement as I saw these many teams again that we will be playing against.

"I can't wait to play.."

I shivered in excitement when Kageyama noticed this and looked away in annoyance.

"So, I said give it all your shot since it will not be easy. It's gonna be a tough ride for all of you"

We all nodded when Shimizu-senpai suddenly talked to Takeda-sensei and they both went upstairs with a black long clothing on their hands as I smiled when I saw the banner flapped open with that word 'Fly'.

I am starstrucked again, I always see this banner before yet this is the first time I've appreciated it this much. It's what they say that you start to appreciate the value after you already lost it. 

Then Shimizu-senpai said goodluck to us that made all their hearts flutter that the they even cried except for us, the first-years.

"Wahhhh! No one has ever said that to us!"

"Kiyoko-san spoke! I'm getting fired up!!!!"

They all started bawling while I laughed at their faces seeing again this chaos everytime Shimizu-senpai speaks. 

I was laughing when I noticed to the side that Tsukishima is covering his mouth as he is also chuckling a bit from the chaos of the simps.

I didn't know, he could also truly laugh

I smiled seeing this side of Tsukishima for the first time.

Time skip

I yawned as I made my through the school still kinda sleepy from all the trainings we did right before the interhigh.

When all of a sudden, an incoming train..no, an incoming Kageyama is running towards me. 

I frowned at first when my eyes went wide as I realized what he's doing. I immediately ran off too but he still caught up to me and then we loudly ran towards the stairs of the clubroom to see that he still won.

We panted and tried to catch our breaths as I'm still surprised at the sudden race, holding my knees when he suddenly walked in front of me.

I glanced up huffing when I stopped as I saw his serious face on me. 

My head went down and sadly chuckled as I just forgot there for a moment about what happened between us.

"What is this again...suddenly racing with me and looking at me with serious face"

I smiled and looked down on the ground, sadly.

"You know, I can't even look at you on the eye right now...you're acting like nothing happened-"

"...I'm sorry..."

My eyes widen as I blinked and looked up at him, trying to process what he just said. He's looking away and looked hurt while saying that.
