Seeing You

• chapter 33 •

"Holy crap, did you saw that match?"

"Yep, that was beyond what I expected--"

Two teenagers who are volleyball players too continue to walk but gazing at the passing familiar orange teen who's wearing his black jacket not facing them instead the hallway he's gonna go to.

"Oh look look, It's Karasuno's #10"

"Huh? Where? Oh you're right"

They started to lower their voices because Hinata is still near them but when he turned to a corner in the hallway now, they started to talk normally.

"Dude he's hella amazing there"

"Right?? He's like the little giant"

Unknown to them, a giggling Hinata on the back of the wall is listening to their compliments. 

Leaning his head on the wall with a smile on his face but then after a while, a sigh escaped from his lips.

I remember that's what I used to wanted, but now...I just wanted to be with the ones I care about longer...

He leaned away with hands on the pocket of his jacket deciding to continue what he planned to do before which is going to the bathroom.

But before he could continue to walk further, a white uniform with violet stripe on the sides appeared on Hinata's peripheral view.

He glanced up when he saw Ushijima staring at him. 

"Oh! Ushijima-san! Great match earlier, I had fun"

Hinata close-eye smiled when he heard incoming footsteps but before he could process what was about to happen, Ushijima is just an inch close to him now which made him slightly move back looking up at the cannon ace with a sweatdrop.

"Ah..Ushijima-san?"

Hinata raised his eyebrow confused as to what's just going on but Ushijima kept his intimidating stare at the little tangerine, looking down before saying

"I will win next time, Hinata Shoyo"

Hinata's eyes widen but instead of his usual competitive response, he had the urge to purse his lips hardly. His cheeks bulking but then he wheezed and bursted into a laugh.

Ushijima meanwhile is quirking his eyebrow with question marks on top of his head. 

"Haha..and here I thought something scary was about to happen, you really still haven't changed Ushijima-san and you even call me by my full name, just Hinata is fine"

Hinata while holding his stomach, wiped the small tears on his eyes while Ushijima's mouth just slightly opened but then it curved into a smile. 

"Okay Hinata, I wil beat you next time"

Hinata flinched as he looked up at Ushijima again with a somehow weirded out expression.

"Now that's just weird to hear when you call me by my last name only"

"Then what do you really want?"

"Hehe, I'm confusing right? Hinata's okay", Hinata rubbed the back of his neck with a smile when he glanced at Ushijima again.

"By the way, aside from saying that line to me all the time. Do you want to ask something to me?"

Hinata asked when Ushijima gazed away, thinking if he wanted to say anything more but then he remembered something and looked at Hinata with a serious eyes.

"You should've come to Shiratori--"

"HEY! DON'T YOU DARE FINISH THAT LINE!"

A loud voice coming all the way from the end of the corner stopped Ushijima as they both glanced to see who it is and Ushijima's head slightly lowered.
