He turned and scrambled to his feet, pulling himself up weakly, his body still sluggish from the alcohol intake running through his veins as the loud sound of metal rang through his ears. It resonated through his teeth and skull, irritating him further with the pull of hangover.

Throwing open the heavy dark green drapes, sunlight suddenly flooded into the room as he squinted taken aback.

How long had he been out?

Suspecting he slept in over the day into the next, he grumpily scanned the area as his eyes adjusted to the sudden light.

A small lithe figure then caught his attention as he glanced out the window, eyes narrowing as he zeroed down on them.
He then watched as they slowly pushed themselves to their feet while rubbing their head, his ladder on the ground beside them near the stable as his mare whinnied startled by the crash.

Splendid. Just what he needed.
He finally took some time to drink things off and now he was being robbed.

"I think the hell not..", he said angrily to the figure's distant back, before quickly turning and grabbing his dagger out from the chair as he shoved on his glasses.

His quick footsteps echoed in the hall as he threw open the door, storming outside to the intruder as the setting sun's rays washed over his skin.

The last thing he expected was to be staring at the same tiny idiot with the ridiculous goggles who had bothered him earlier.

Varitas or whatever his name was.

"O-ohh hi...!", the raven haired male stuttered out, seeing him approach and stepping forward as he gestured with a shaking hand, "Sorry about the noise, and I can guess by your face what you're thinking.. but I'm not stealing anything though I promise! I'm just helping you out!"

"What the hell are you still doing here?!", he stepped forward swiftly, grabbing his shirt angrily, "And what are doing with my ladder?!"

The male winced as he was yanked forward, his nose wrinkling slightly as he turned his head. "I already told you! I'm helping, I fixed up your place and took care of your horse since you were knocked out in there..
I didn't steal or break anything! Honest.", he shifted uncomfortably, "Look around for yourself, you'll see."

Hugo glared at him for a moment before he looked up briefly, taking in the view around him.

He didn't even realize at first how bad he had let things fall into disrepair until his eyes rested on the mended and trimmed property; the house and stable was stripped of the giant walls of vines revealing the beautiful stonework underneath, the windows were polished and the shutters repainted, the woodwork was replaced and stained on his house, every detail of his grand home had been restored... along with the land around it.
Even the dead parts of the landscape had been filled with soft thin grass, tiny purple flowers pushing their way through the terrain and lining the unweeded dirt path to the buildings around him.

It was as if nothing happened.

The pain from the past three years and the neglect that had come with it to his home had been completely washed away.

"See? It's all good.", his voice chirped out, "I mean, I still got to replace the roof tiles on the stable and if you let me, I could help clean up the inside of your house too after seeing a bit of the mess in there."

His mind spun for a moment as he processed that the shorter male had just cleaned up everything before he snapped to astonishment at his nerve.
