Chapter 3 Trust Your Instincts

The Week was busy to say the least, the news of the new Lion Guard spread like bees flying after someone who stole their honey. On patrol Kion and his team were harassed with congratulations, questions and luck, the young ones were also harassing, questioning and excited about their role in the Circle Of Life, soon enough they'll begin their training, learning and hopefully their first patrol.

Out of breath Bunga rested on the roots of the tree. The day had been tough, not from the animals but after last night's storm they've been non stop clearing the paths, plains and getting animals out of danger. The sun just clocked past midday, they'll be cutting patrol short so Kion and Askari can train the upcoming guard. "What a day", Bunga sighed,

"Yeah, it was an eventful week, didn't know how much excitement the news was", Besthe announced,

"Well, the Lion Guard was established here remember", Rani said walking out with Karla, Carlos and Rafi,

"Oh yes your majesty", Besthe quickly reinstated bowing down,

"It's okay Besthe, where's Kion?", Rani asked,

"He's coming, he just had to speak to Askari and Mufasa",

"Oh okay, well in the meantime, kids, do you want to gather the rest of the guard and meet back here so Kion can take you to Askari for knowledge on your first training session?", Rani said, turning her gaze towards the three.

"Okay, see you in a bit", Carlos said running off.

"They grow up so fast", Rani said smiling and shaking her head in disbelief, "Well I'm going to go see Baylio, see how he's doing with his new duty".

"Alright, see you later, tell Baylio and Talia we said hi", Fuli remarked,

"Will do", Rani shouted, running off towards the south.

......

"Are you all ready to participate in your first training session?", Kion asked looking at the five fine predators in front of him,

"Yes we are", they shout in unison,

"Alright, well your training starts in a few days, Askari said appearing out of the clouds, "You'll be going to a place known as The Cave Of Secrets, this is where Kion and his guard found a way to defeat Scar, but at the same time they were tested and so will you".

"But hasn't the cave already been tested? How are we supposed to train when the cave isn't testable", Karla said unsure on what he just said".

"I see what you mean young one. The cave was rebuilt", Askari exclaimed,

"How", Carlos asked cocking his head to the left, the three cubs took a tour around the Pride Lands last year and learnt what happened inside,

"I rebuilt it using the roar, after Askari helped me control and develop the roar I decided to rebuild The Cave Of Secrets and set a new task for the next Lion Guard, now It's time for you guys to test yourselves, work as a team and develop new skills along the way.

"Will you guys be there?", your mother and I will turn up a day or so after you guys head on down, but we won't be helping you", Rafi asked

"We don't need any help right guys?", Carlos said nudging Ahren overly confident,

"I guess so?", Ahren replied,

"Don't be hesitant, trust your instincts and you'll be fine", Askrari said winking to Kion,

"Yep, learnt that when I was just around your age and sometimes I have lost my way but I had my friends and family to help, guide and support me along the way, in the brightness moments and in the darkness, so whatever happens in your life, you're not alone, you'll have us, family and most importantly each other, remember that". Kion said proudly getting the message across.
