Queens of Dawn...

#1 - An unexpected visitor

It's a sunny day in Ravensthorpe. Wars were gone for now so people were enjoying every bit of peace. Eivor was sitting on a tree, eating an apple and looking how their village grew from ashes..

In Ravensthorpe, a distant horn blows, marking a new arrival. We see a single person, who is missing an eye, step onto the docks without their boat.

"There's someone asking about you by the docks.." Eivor looked down with confusion in their face. "Who could that be?" I wasn't expecting any visitors. "Well, don't just sit there and go talk to her. When you're done come to see me please. I have to talk to you about something." Randvi turned around and went back to the longhouse.

Eivor was quite curious what Randvi needs to talk about but right now she had a new visitor so Randvi needs to wait.

"Hytham? Things have not gone as planned. Hytham! Perhaps you can aid me in locating Hytham." young girl was panicking.

"What is your purpose with him?" asked Eivor..

"I have brought a sampling of goods from Ireland. That is, if I can bring my ships to dock." said she with a pride in her voice.
Eivor was highly confused why would someone come to trade from Ireland where she knew nobody.

[HYTHAM walks up to greet them.]

"Azar. I see you've met Eivor Wolf-Kissed." Eivor was pretty much confused of what's happening right now.
"Ah, so you are Eivor. In fact, I bring you a message from Ireland." said the little girl.
"I know no one in Ireland." Eivor tried to think who she might know in there but as much she thought that much she was certain she knows no one there.

"The letter is from Dublin's king. Sadly, I seem to have misplaced it." Azar was trying to find it but without success.

"The King of Dublin? Why would such a one write to me?" Eivor didn't understand any of this..

"He wishes to expand trade to England. The purpose of my bringing goods here." said Azar with such a certainty..

"Azar is from the East, but lives in Ireland now. But in matters of trade, Azar, your king should petition Randvi."

"He claims to know Eivor. He asked me to accompany you on the trip there." Eivor started to get suspicious about this whole situation..She didn't trust a word Azar was saying.

"I know no king and am certainly not about to journey to Ireland."

"Let me find the letter he gave me." she started to search her crates..

"You keep insisting that I know an Irish king. It is a fantasy. [thinking] What manner of king is it that sends me letters from Ireland?"

Eivor left Azar with Hytham and she went to see Randvi..

"Oh here you are.." she heard Randvi's voice right behind her.

"I wanted to talk to you about Sigurd.." said Randvi carefully..

A shadow covered Eivor's face as she turned around to face Randvi. "Randvi...she sighed...I need to prepare for a journey..The king of Dublin has called me to join him."

"King of Dublin?" asked Randvi confused.. "I don't have time to explain..I'll be leaving soon"

Eivor walked out the longhouse leaving Randvi in her own self-doubt...
