Raya and the Last Dragon Pengu x Fem!Reader [DISCONTINUED]

Chapter One

[Y/N] P. O.V.

I peeked through a bush and watched five fellow dragons play together on an open field.

"Ha! Tag, Pengu! You're it!" A light cyan dragon playfully teased her older brother.

"Ah, Sisu, prepare to feel my wrath!" Pengu smirked as he tackled his sister to the ground. The two of them went down laughing. I wished I could play with them so bad, and I tried to peek through the bush to get a better view.

That's when I felt thorns sinking in my paw. I did not notice that I was watching through a thorny rose bush!

"Ouch!" I yelled before quickly clasping my mouth shut.

The five dragons abruptly stopped their playing and became aloof on guard. "Who's there?"

I immediately used my special ability- camouflage / invisibility. Whatever you'd prefer. Anyway, all of the dragons searched around my hiding spot, the green one sniffing right next to me before sensing me.

Pengu smiled and lightly booped me on the nose with his, my whole body eventually becoming visible again. I blushed and lowered my head, trying to avoid looking the green dragon in his eyes. "Found you!" he exclaimed, his voice a little over a whisper.

His other siblings jumped behind their oldest brother, their faces in surprise. "Whoa, another dragon! What's your name?" They all asked me.

"Hey, my name is [Y/N]!"

"Hi, [Y/N]! My name's Pengu," the green dragon said. "The light blue dragon is my sister Sisu, the deep purple is my brother Jagan, the bluish purple is Amba, and Pranee is the pinkish-purple one."

"Nice to meet all of you!"

"So, you wanna play a little game with us?"

A Few Months Later...

Months later, I realized that I had developed feelings for the particular green dragon. All of the other dragons knew about it, and they all promised to keep it a secret. "Oooh, that's so cute of you, [Y/N]!" Amba and Pranee squealed.

"What are you waiting for? Just ask him!" Jagan said a little impatiently as he pushed me towards his older brother. Jagan was usually the chill, laid-back dragon, but this was one of his more assertive moments.

Pengu was sitting over the edge of a cliff, admiring the view of Kumandra. However, recent attacks of the Druun greatly troubled him most of the time. One can easily see the constant look of distress in his beautiful green eyes.

I quickly dug my claws into the ground to keep myself from being pushed any further. Jagan noticed my expression and gave me an inquisitive look. "Oh! Oh! I know what you two need!" Sisu jumped up, holding her tail excitedly as she grabbed petals of flowers and skipped all around me, throwing them into the air.

I sneezed as many petals tickled my nostrils. "Thanks for the help guys, but I think I'll just tell him another time," I said as I turned around. "But [Y/N], what if another time ends up in another 500 years?" Sisu asked.

"Well, another 500 years might be what I need to gain enough confidence to tell Pengu how I feel," I sarcastically said and turned around to face the others while wrinkling my nose to rid of an annoying petal.

I studied the other dragons excited expressions as they backed away, smirking at me. I gave them a confused look before turning around to see Pengu staring dreamily at me, a hint of mischief and playfulness in his eyes.

"'Tell Pengu how I feel?' What's that about?" the green dragon looked down at me, my face being drawn to his. "Pengu, I-" I began.

However, our moment was interrupted as dark matter rolled in on our land.

We all gasped. "Oh, no! It's the Druun!"

Other dragons showed up and tried to fight off the Druun, but it turned them all into stone. My eyes widened upon remembering how my parents fought their best against the Druun, only for them to turn into statues in the process just to protect me.

Eventually the Druun picked off every single dragon except for the siblings and me. "Pengu, what do we do now?" Pranee asked as the Druun had us cornered and I stood my ground next to the green dragon. Pengu went into deep thought before glancing at all of us. "Everyone, come together and bestow your abilities upon me," he said, a mystical orb being created in his arms with all of our abilities.

The green dragon looked at his younger sister, Sisu, and gave the orb to her. It meant that it was she to save Kumandra from the Druun. I glanced over at Sisu - she seemed shocked, but we trusted the cyan dragon. We all gave her a hopeful look, before the Druun engulfed us all and completely turned to stone.

The only thing I ever saw was darkness, for a really long time.
