Tuesday

The blaring alarm disturbed your sleep, causing you to lazily roll over, tangling the bedsheets, hitting the 'dismiss' button on your phone screen. You laid on your back again, fighting the urge to close your eyes and fall back into a peaceful slumber. Groaning, you sat up pulling your legs over the side placing your feet on the carpeted floor. You stood yourself up, balancing yourself, trudging lazily to do your morning routine to get ready for another day at work. You didn't hate work, in fact you liked your job, but you most definitely hated getting up early.

Patting your face and body gently with a towel, you walked back into your bedroom getting dressed with the outfit that was already laid out - you always liked to prepare everything the night before.

A light ping from your phone alerted you. You noticed a message had popped up and you smiled as you saw the contact name.

Tae xx
Hey baby! I'm coming over tonight so get ready for endless hugs xxxxxx

You smiled wider as you typed a reply. Now you had something to look forward to tonight.

.

The posh building of your workplace, which just so happened to be in walking distance from your home, towered over you as you walked towards it. It was a very posh building, glass windows lining most of the exterior, but funnily enough, you worked for an interior design company. You only worked a minor office job, but you didn't mind, you had to start somewhere, right?

You took the elevator to your floor and you were met by the excitable voice of your best friend.

"Babe!" she squealed before hugging you as a smile broke out into your face. Just where did she get this energy from?

"Hey Chloe," you replied back and Chloe seemed to notice the lethargy in your voice.

"Oh dear," mocking disappointment in her tone, "why do you always sound so tired? Just what were you up to last night?" she asked as she playfully winked and smirked.

"Chloe!" you loudly exclaimed in distaste.

"I'm only joking sweety you know I am, now come on, we have a meeting to attend," she said and pulled you along while you groaned behind her.

Honestly, you were grateful that Chloe was your friend. She was a couple of years older than you,  your happy pill, and incredibly loyal, like an excitable puppy. When you arrived at this job two months ago you and Chloe had immediately clicked. You found out that she started out as an intern but loved it here so much that she applied for a job here. What a godsend.

You both walked into the large meeting room, greeting fellow colleagues and sat down waiting for your boss (who was also really sweet). A familiar face walked in and you sighed inwardly, you weren't sure what to make of him if you were being honest.

"Hey, y/n, Chloe" he greeted, while sporting his usual smirk, and you thought he winked at you, causing you to do a double take.

"Hi Dongsun," Chloe greeted back, while you smiled back.

Dongsun worked on the same floor as you in a higher position in the business, and he was really friendly. He was also a couple of years older than you and an asset to this business - talented, young and handsome - but incredibly humble. Part of you thought he was too friendly, especially to you, but the most dominant part of your mind chose to see the best in him and his behaviour. Plus you never felt that uncomfortable around him anyway, so you never said anything, he was too nice and maybe he just didn't catch on to social cues. How wrong you were.

After the meeting, which had overrun by a significant amount of time, you decided to grab a coffee to dose up on some caffeine before working. You walked into the small kitchen that was a little way from your workspace and began preparing your energiser. After a couple of minutes, you heard footsteps and looked at the door to see Dongsun walking in.
