Friday

Today was your day off which was great because it meant you had a 3 day weekend.

Last night while trying to sleep, the makeout from last night a memory on repeat in your head, you had thought of a great gift for him before he went away. You both established to each other that you trust one another, a lot, and you realised that Tae didn't have his own key to your place. So you decided to get another key for him instead of having to use the spare key under the mat every time.

It probably sounds weird to gift him a key, but you knew that he'd love and appreciate it - Tae loves the little things in life, that's one of the things you love about him.

.

After going to the locksmiths to get a key sorted, Chloe had texted you to meet her in the cafe near work on her lunch break, which you happily agreed to.

You entered the cafe, the calming smell of coffee beans intoxicating, your eyes searching for Chloe. You saw a hand waving frantically and the face it belonged to was just as excitable. The both of you went in for a tight hug and sat down.

"I've got you your favourite dessert," she said, gesturing to the extra plate on the round mahogany table.

You clapped your hands together. "Ah Chloe you treat me so well!" you said, immediately delving into the sweet heaven.

You both made small chit chat, and had probably consumed one too many coffees, until you asked her something that had been on your mind.

"Chloe," you started, putting your coffee down, "what exactly happened when Dongsun was drunk?"

She took a breath, but you could tell from her body language and facial expression that she wasn't uncomfortable - maybe you really didn't have anything to worry about. "He got a little touchy and was extremely flirty when he spoke."

"You seem so...fine with it," you were so confused.

"I've been to plenty of clubs, it's nothing I haven't experienced before," she shrugged nonchalantly.

"Well, I guess, but it doesn't mean you should get used to that kind of behaviour."

She nodded. "That is true. But I didn't end up reporting him because he apologised for it the next time we saw each other. He's never bothered me since."

She continued sipping on her drink while you mulled things over in your mind. There was some relief in what she said. But you couldn't help but still feel a little uneasy, nervous. Were you being paranoid?

.

After retrieving Tae's key and a cute gift-box, you returned home and started setting stuff up in an attempt to make things look a little romantic. The thought of him being in close proximity again sent tingles down your spine, you felt like a teenager again. The fact you could progress in your relationship tonight sent contrasting emotions through you - excitement, fear? Hell, the relationship was going to develop at some point.

You prepared Tae's gift, hiding it behind a plant pot, and moved on to place candles around the living room, a mixture of scented and normal. However, your indecisive self couldn't figure out if Tae would think you're trying too hard. You must have lit and blown out the candle you sat in front of 4 times by now, unaware of the fact that he'd arrived already. By the time Tae had walked into the living room, you were choking on the excessive amount of candle smoke.

"Baby are you OK?" he asked with an amused expression he was trying so hard to contain.

You turned your head, surprised at his arrival. "Oh yeah!" you said between splutters.
