Tuesday

Ever since you woke up, you were shaking from the intense nerves. You were standing by the door waiting for Chloe, although you wouldn't have minded if she didn't show up - but that was the fear talking. Tae had tried to distract you as much as possible but your mind was focussed on one thing. He watched your anxious self as you clenched and unclenched your fists repeatedly, your eyes seeping anxiety no matter how hard you tried to hide it.

The knock on your door made you jump and you finally looked at Tae for the reassurance that he can give with a mere look into his warm, embracing eyes. He nodded twice, a soft smile on his face. Opening the door, you immediately met eyes with a sympathetic Chloe.

"Hey sweety," she went in for a hug, which you hesitantly but happily gave in to. "You ready?"

"Um, I think so," you spoke quietly, then looked back at Tae.

"I'll wait for you in the car okay?" she said and you heard her heels on the concrete floor getting quieter.

You looked down as Tae approached you, his palm appearing in your line of vision. You smiled while taking his hand and looked up at him, allowing his other hand to cup your cheek.

"I'm proud of you," he started, leisurely swiping his thumb across your cheekbone. "I'll be here when you're done, just think about that."

With a final smile, you said your goodbyes grabbing your bag, not forgetting the notebook and you exited your home, feeling the cool fresh air for the first time in a while.

.

The car ride was short. Too short, and in no time Chloe had parked up in front of the now intimidating building. As you stepped out of the car you felt the force of your second thoughts holding your legs in place.

"Y/n," Chloe softly spoke and held out her hand, "you can do this. I'm going to be beside you the whole time."

She nodded in reassurance and gently beckoned you to take her hand, which you did, and the two of you walked inside.

Every step you took became torturous and heavy, the thudding of your heart deafening until you heard knocking. You were already in front of your boss's door, and you didn't even realise, and when you heard the faint 'come in' on the other side, it hit you that this was indeed very real.

"Morning sir," you heard Chloe's voice say, "we need to talk to you rather urgently."

"Of course come in, ah y/n, I was wondering when you'd decide to come again."

"Actually that's why we're here, y/n has something important to talk to you about. She wants me to stay with them."

She looked at you, nodded once and stepped backwards towards the wall.

"Um," this was the part you had to tell him. Would he even believe you? You were aware of Dongsun's reputation in this business. So will your boss just brush aside the allegation? You won't know until…

"I'm here to report um...harassment," you stuttered out.

You reached into your bag taking out the notebook and handed it to your boss, your hands significantly shaky.

He furrowed his brows, taking the notebook from you then gesturing to the seat in front of his desk. "Have a seat y/n," he sat opposite you. "Who is involved?"

You feebly pointed at the notebook. "It says who in the notebook sir."

Nervously watching him read and his face screw up in confusion and seriousness was a lot for you.
