Despite my endless contradictions and baseless claims of being okay and shamelessly numb, I have to say—the weekend couldn't come any quicker. It was only when I had spent six hours scanning through invoices and drawing venue sketches back-to-back that I realized that I did need a break—even if it is no way in regards to the breakup.

With that being out of the way, I then find myself stuck in a Bentley with Lexi and Ana. Them singing in the front seats while I watched the cars that passed us.

The weather in the city has been particularly nice in comparison to what it usually is. The sun brightly shone in the early hours of the morning and slowly faded through the day. A breeze came through with warmth in its reaches and I found myself basking in the city hustle by four. Now that the sun had set, the purples faded blue and the city lights became the life the sun once held. I find it refreshing to ponder about the little things after being stuck handling all the bigger things in life.

When we arrived at the Corinthia the little daydream I had was interrupted by the busyness of the accommodation. From the parking where families gathered in lengthy conversations to the reception where couples had checked in for the night, I found it rather ironic to our purpose of mindful relaxation.

"You'd think the cold would keep these aristocrats back home hm," Ana remarked quietly whilst Lexi checks-in our appointment. When she returned, she was followed by a man with a tray of champagne.

"Five-star golden treatment. Mr Delavega really came through," Lexi commented, flirtatiously winking at the waiter who shyly smiled but walked away.

"Mhmm, and are we sure that's gonna cure Jeanette's little situation?"

I gasped, acting offended and Lexi stared at her bug-eyed.

"Ok, rule one—and only—of the night is we don't talk about boys. What happened to us three hanging out and talking about how much money we made and how many drinks we drank at a party? All boys ever do to both of you is ruin things. They're like little pests."

"Easy for you to say, you don't prefer them?" Ana raised me and I took a sip.

"Ana, darling. I can give you a million reasons why I would always choose women over boys."

The sarcasm is rather entertaining.

The wait wasn't long considering that we practically have VIP passes. When the spa attendants came around the corner they practically booted us to the lockers to strip and lock away our belongings in these fancy lockers with card sensors. We were wrapped in red velvet robes that felt like heaven on the skin and then they led us to our first stop which were the massages. Not a big fan of those but in the name of forgetting, I'm willing to follow.

Once we three were face down on the very comfortable massage tables, the rest of the room was filled with relaxed hums. So was I.

"I have been needing this for months." I hear Lexi say, and my eyes open remembering that we were indeed together. My masseuse is getting too good for my well being.
