|| Too hot ||

It was too hot. Sophia was sat on the floor with Sonny and Usnavi by the freezer trying to cool off. Usnavi was talking about how amazing The Dominican Republic is and how Sonny will love it.

Sophia couldn't help but feel a pit in her stomach at the thought of Usnavi leaving. She took her t-shirt off leaving her in shorts and a lavender bikini top, since Daniela texted her to come to the pool after work.

When she took her top off Usnavi couldn't help but stare at how beautiful she was. Even hot and sweaty she managed to look like a goddess. Sonny nudged him to break him out of his trance.

She sighed and got up to walk over to the drinks fridge. She opened it and stood their letting the cool air hit her.

"Dude you were staring" Sonny whispered once she left. "No i wasn't" he denied.

"Bro you may as well have been drooling. Why don't you just ask her out already?" he asked.

"Because what if she says no then it's super awkward and we won't be friends anymore. I cant lose her." he sighed.

"Seriously man she won't say no" he says. " and I see how she acts every time you talk about leaving."

"Just go talk to her" he say pushing him to talk to the girl.

Usnavi finds her leaning on the drinks fridge looking lost in thought. she was  twisting the ring on her middle finger it was her mums wedding band, Daniela had her dads one. It's a habit she has that Usnavi picked up on he noticed she does it when something is bothering her.

"Hey, what's wrong" he asks snapping her out of thought.

He leans next to her, "What makes you think something is wrong?" she asks.

"You were playing with your ring, you only do that when your upset he says. She blushed at the fact that he noticed that.

"Just all the talk about you leaving. Making me a bit nervous" she says looking up at him.

"Why does it make you nervous?" he asks curiously.

"Just that I won't be able to see everyday" she sighed.

"Then come with us" he says simply. "What?" she asked shocked.

"If hypothetically you didn't get into the academy, which I doubt will happen, why don't you come with us. You can swim and surf all day, help out at the bar." he says.

Sophia is shocked at the words coming from his mouth but she thinks why not? so...

"Okay I'll come" she smiles widely. He sighs in relief and hugs her. "Thank god, I don't know what i would do with out you" he whispers and she blushes.

When they break apart slightly Usnavi has both hands on Sophia's waist and she has one hand on his neck and the other resting on his bicep. She notices how his gaze moved from her eyes to her lips. She subconsciously did the same and they both started leaning in. Their lips only millimeters apart, Sophia felt their lips brush against each other ever so slightly. It was enough to send shock waves through her body and butterflies soaring in her stomach.

Then the ring of the bell is heard stopping them. Usnavi briefly rests his forehead in the crook of her neck and sighs frustratedly and she tilts hers so it's resting on his.

"For fucks sake" he whispers making her giggle.

They then break apart and Usnavi goes to see who was at the till.

Sophia rests her head on the wall in frustration they were so close.

As Usnavi walks to the front he thinks about how close he just got to kissing the girl of his dreams and she was going to kiss him back. In that moment he decided he was gonna man up and ask her on a date. He just has to wait for the right time.

Sophia arrived at the pool just after Usnavi. She was searching for Dani in the crowds of people. She spotted her sitting with the girls on the steps.

"Hey guys" Sophia greeted. They all said their greetings back.

Sophia when and sat down next to her sister. "Hola mi hermana" she said leaning her head in Dani's shoulder.

"Hola hermana" she said kissing her sisters forehead. They both chatted for a while when Usnavi got on the telecom and told everyone they had the winning numbers for the lottery.

Everyone started frantically running around to find their tickets. Someone started playing music to hype everyone up.

Everyone was dancing in the water so Sophia decided to go as well to cool off.

She was dancing with everyone when she felt someone grab her hand and spin her around. When she turned around she was met with the smiling face of Usnavi.

"Will you dance with me?" he asked. "Of course" she said and started dancing with him and it felt amazing.

Then everyone started to splash water around as much as they could towards the end of the song. So Usnavi pulled her  into him and grabbed her thighs to wrap around his waist, Sophia caught onto what he was doing but she couldn't help the butterflies that erupted in her stomach at his touch. She wondered where this new found confidence was coming from, but she wasn't complaining she found it extremely attractive. 

With her legs wrapped securely around his waist he spun around quickly and she skimmed her hand along the water creating a ring of water being sprayed.

After she was at the pool she had to go and practice for her audition tomorrow. So far she wasn't doing the wrong moves again she just prays it won't happen tomorrow.
